Nice old hotel in Venice

Posted Sep 16, 2017
This hotel has a lot of the old characters still intact....great location...rooms are very small wigh a tiny balcony...nice little breakfast....just found that the staff are not very friendly...no smile or acknowledgement but that seems to be the norm in Venice....

Stylish with lovely terrace

Posted Aug 17, 2017
Pros: Nice room, cosy sitting outside.
Cons: Happier staff at breakfast. Getting rid of lino covering stones
Location: 2 minutes walk from Grand Canal Academia stop and the same to the waterfront with many water buses stopping. Walking distance to San Marco.
Nice.rtaditional.style with carpeted walls in the rooms. Lovely view to the street from our room. Comfy beds and.large bathroom. Nice stone flooring and wall tile unfortunately combines.with lino and plastic. Especially ugly with the lift. Staff at breakfast stressed out. Bar closes at 10:30pm. Gorgeous, giant armchairs and sofas in the outside seating area.

Great location.

We ended up in a room which had disabled toilet facilities. It was very difficult to use the toilet.

Reasonable hotel in a good location.

Posted Aug 11, 2017
It can be hard to find a reasonable hotel for a family of five in Venice, but the Hotel Belle Arti fit the bill. The location was great-- just a short distance from the Accademia vaporetto stop. The staff was accommodating enough. The room was tiny (as expected in Venice) but made up for five with a double bed and 3 singles (a bunk plus a cot) upon our arrival. It felt very Venitian with its ornamental fabric wall coverings & Venitian glass chandeliers. Breakfast was good & the outdoor courtyard & seating area were inviting. Our only complaint was the lobby "bar". It never appeared to be open & the person at reception (10 feet away) could not tell us the hours. It would have been nice to come back and have a cold beer or nice glass of wine on their patio in the evening.
