The staff at the hotel were very welcoming and helpful overall. The breakfast buffet was good and the food in the restaurant was nice with a good selection for different dietary needs. The restaurant staff are very efficient, attentive, and helpful. The bathroom was nice in our room and the room was a nice size. But, the hotel is aging a bit. Additionally our towels were threadbare and one was even mostly split in two. Furthermore, despite having the do not disturb sign on the door, we returned from the breakfast buffet to find our beds stripped down and sprayed with some type of disinfectant even though check out was more than three hours away. This interfered with the need for one of us to rest due to a medical issue prior to a day of travel. I have never had this type of incident occur in a hotel in any place I have traveled to in the past.

Nice place to stay.
It was a nice room. Quiet area. It was near a lot of great restaurants and within walking distance to parks and other fun things to do. Overall a nice hotel.

The room was clean and ok, but there were a few problems that spoiled the stay. When we arrived at 1:30am we had to sort out some missing items: there was only 1 towel for 2 people. The hand soap was empty and needed to be replaced. The amenities were lacking. There was no kettle or coffee machine. The pillows were very uncomfortable - one was very lumpy and one was very soft. This is not a 4* quality hotel.

Directly opposite the hotel was a construction site and they started work very early which prevented a good rest. Once finished I’m sure it will be better.

Good hotel with comfy rooms.
Very comfy beds, air con ,small open bathroom leading to glass door to toilet / shower area . Not ideal if both wanting to use bathroom . Good having a fridge/ safe . Very close to the exhibition centre but not in the town centre.. taxis close by , 10 mins to centre . Quiet . Had an issue with very noisy neighbours at midnight and reception were quick to rectify , and offered to move us if it continued to another floor, and came to speak to them personally as well as us. Shame the room didn’t have coffee facilities, only the next room up did which cost more.restaurant and bar facilities and gym if you like that! Friendly staff. Recommend

Super friendly and helpful staff.
Stayed for just one night. Very very friendly reception staff who recommended a great Mongolian restaurant nearby. Could not be more helpful and willing to please. Again the next morning super friendly reception staff and breakfast was wonderful. With a huge choice, and again very friendly and accommodating staff. Will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and stay will stay here the next time when visiting Dortmund.

Perfect trip
Wow what a perfect trip to Dortmund! The staff at this hotel were incredibly helpful and friendly. Having had been awake since 2am we finally arrived in Dortmund 4hours before check in dreading the long wait until 3pm. The staff allowed us to check in early to get a much needed sleep before the football game that we had travelled to watch. We ate a beautiful meal in the restraunt and were served by fantastic people that made sure everything was to our liking. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff on reception, who kindly brought us up extra pillows when requested and stored our luggage on check out day so we could do a bit of last minute shopping. The room was spotless and the bed was comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel if your looking for a clean and comfortable stay somewhere that is quiet but close enough to everything especially the Signal stadium.

Go to place for Westfalenhalle
We came over for an event at Westfalenhalle, the hotel is very nice, clean and quiet but still only 10min walk from the venue, if even that. Can definitely recommend it for this sort of stays, and it being only 8 € taxi ride from central Dortmund, why not for other kind of visits too!

Very nice hotel and friendly staff. Clean spacious rooms and perfect temperature which was great as some hotels can be very hot and stuffy. I arrived early and got checked in right away. A little confusion over my breakfast which I thought I paid for with the booking but I was told was not included. This hotel is quiet and not near any main streets but it is a short walk to Westfallenhalle for concerts and conferences... Perfect for business and leisure.

Great dog show hotel!
We really liked this hotel. Underground parking was really good at €12 a day concessions, rather than the advertised €25. Staff were all really pleasant. Room was clean, AC was effective. Food was nice but a bit of a limited menu. Nice and close for the dog show we were there for. In fact it would have been faster to walk from hotel than from the car park across the road! I'd definitely use this hotel again. Best one out of the three that I've visited in Dortmund.

3 nights stay. Nice hotel only 5 min. walk from the Westfalen Halle. Quit and clean rooms. Bathroom facilities were very nice. Breakfast was fine.

Decent place, but rather far from the city center (although there is not much to see anyway). The stay was fine, but really nothing special and certainly not what we expected when we booked a Steigenberger hotel. It felt outdated, stuffy, just quite basic. A good value for the money, but you may want to try the Pullman hotel across the street.

Sorry, but the service and amenities of the hotel are not in line with the Steigenberger name or a proper 4-star hotel. The rooms were basic, the beds were so-so comfortable, there were no amenities in the bathroom except a little bar of soap and a squeeze bottle of shower gel, there was no complimentary water, etc. Breakfast was copious and had a great variety, although the quality of the products were just OK. The service was fine, although spotty - I asked for a local hair salon because we were attending a wedding and she points me down the street, without giving me some actual suggestions with addresses and phone numbers. Anyway, the place is overall fine and the deals you find are often great - but again, Steigenberger should be more careful of managing their properties and brand.

The impression was spoiled by rain. The center go far enough, but back to the hotel was nice.
