The room condition was poor. Lighting broken / not working. Curtains old and in poor condition. The TV had limited channels and sound level was fixed / not adjustable. Bar staff not present and needed to be called via reception when required.

Health and Safety
Room was large, clean, bed comfy, only concern I had was a health and safety issue, the window in our room on the 7th floor was large and opened all the way (I do have a photo), very concerned about the safety aspect of this, especially if children use that room.
Safe window on the seventh floor??

Old and outdated hotel
Old and outdated hotel that desperately needs renovation. AC was really noisy and didn't cool down the room and it was impossible to get a good sleep with AC on. The only positive side is that it is located close to the old city center.

Good hotel with secure motorcycle parking
Very clean hotel with friendly staff, food was good too. I would recommend this hotel as it had secure parking for my motorcycle.

Mercure Bresancon
We required a hotel that was clean and comfortable close to the main part of town with a secure car park and the Mercure Bresancon Parc Micaud fitted our needs well. Our room was spacious and there is a restaurant in the hotel. All staff were attentive and friendly. The hotel requires a refurbishment. We found this hotel very suitable for our needs.

This was my third time at this hotel. It is a good hotel for the area. It also seems to be the standard type of hotel for the area. I would recommend it to anyone for use.

While this is not a 5-star hotel in terms of overall amenities or pure luxury, it is an exceptional value. The hotel is very clean and well maintained, the staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating, the morning breakfasts are comprehensive and the location is close to many restaurants and mass transit. I will be back on my next trip to Besancon!

Hotel room overall outdated. Excellent service and very nice foid (room service). Also disappointed (for a 4 star hotel) was the lack of a fitness/wellness area.

Probably one of the worst in the area
Where to start... Old hotel, no comfort. It was 95 deg outside and no AC in the room, hotels don't believe in AC in France. Impossible to get even a fan. For a 4 star hotel, a lot to improve from slow WIFI to bedding and of course the ability to make customers comfortable during the hottest week of the year.

Old Hotel in need of updating
The hotel lobby is modern but once you go to the elevator you begin the journey into the past. I was very disappointed at the rooms comfort and lack of style.

Nice hotel in good location.
This was a last minute booking as the hotel we had booked was disgusting. What a great find. The staff were very helpful and the rooms comfortable. A short walk over the river into the town revealed a great place to explore. We will definitely go back.

Some walk to main shopping/eating area, much disruption to road nertwork due to construction of new tram network. Main town not very attractive, will not visit town again.

Good hotel just across the River Doubs from the main part of town. Friendly staff and free parking.

We only had one night in the hotel, though we had reserved two. It was not as close to the town as we expected, but Besancon was going through many road improvement projects at the time. There was also a Braderie in the town at the time, which clogged up the streets. We did walk to the Citadelle and back, which is worth a visit, and needs at least a half day to appreciate. Driving to the hotel and away from the hotel was slow and difficult because of the road improvement work, and the high level of traffic. Parking was easy, and secure. Friendly and helpful hotel staff. Quiet and comfortable room, with good facilities. Limited food options in the restaurant, not to our taste, so we did not use it.

Good hotel and great location although that's not so hard in Besanson. Bathrooms a little tired. Breakfasy adequate although not great coffee and awful (I presume powdered?) scrambled eggs. Will stay again (good parking) and works on most levels other than eggs. Delightful staff.
