Wonderful old building built in the late 1800's. Beautifully restore. The kitchenette had everything we needed.

Awesome, beautiful hotel even in pouring rain!Posted Aug 19, 2015
We arrived in pouring rain on our motorbikes and were greeted by a very friendly staff member. The hotel was beautifully renovated, cosy warm and extremely comfortable. The staff member gave us plenty of extra towels to dry our bike gear (which was greatly appreciated) plus a run down of the area and restaurants. The hotel had umbrellas which we could borrow so we could stay reasonably dry whilst walking around the town. The beds were amazingly comfy, so much we didn't want to get up the next morning! The suite we booked had a separate room for our child with a little rocking chair. It was a special treat for us to have our own bedroom plus our child loved being in a special spot just for them.

Wonderful small hotel.Posted Aug 4, 2015
Pros: Its old world charm, and the peace and quiet.
Location: The views and the area are absolutely beautiful, would like to have stayed longer. Great breakfast not far away from hotel, within walking distance.
We had a wonderful stay here, we were upgraded to another room which was gorgeous, but I'm sure all the rooms are excellent.

Nice boutique hotel but well overpriced!Posted Jan 21, 2015
Pros: Nice decor in rooms
Cons: Beakfast should definitely be included for the price they charge
Location: Great location for the area
We had a nice stay in this place, rooms are well equipped and location is ideal, but wouldn't stay there again because of its exorbitant price.

Minutes from the waterPosted Oct 5, 2014
Pros: Location and the quality of the room and appointments.
Very nice little hotel conveniently located off the beaten path. The old building had been extensively renovated and thoughtfully appointed for travelers. The host was very helpful and available. The Indian restaurant next door was first rate, and a number of interesting shops and bars were minutes away. Location was spectacular overlooking a quiet harbor.

Great viewPosted Oct 3, 2014 on Hotels
We had a two night stay in two-bedroom suite at the front whilst touring NZ. It being such an old property means it has its quirks (like the narrow staircase). There's a great view from the chairs on the balcony. Staff were helpful with suggestions of places of interest to visit. Limited dining options within walking distance - especially on a Monday when most restaurants are closed.
