Breakfast choice was excellent however, as a veggie any evening meal was restricted. Veg. sausages available for breakfast but noy evening meal! All the staff were very friendly and polite and reception staff very helpful. Sadly the room was lovely and spacious with the little balcony a bonus but the smell permeating the room was not pleasant. My partner, being an engineer, flooded the dry floor drain in the bathroom which helped erase the odours. Overall very pleasant stay and good facilities.

Lovely hotel on the sea front room was bit dated but roomy and clean with a nice balcony in the atrium nice bar too the breakfast was hot and delicious a big thanks to all the staff that were genuinely welcoming helpful and very friendly would definitely book again oh and there is limited parking at a very very reasonable price

tHE FACADE OF THE HOTEL IS GREAT BUT IT WAS BEING RENOVATED. THE ROOMS ARE PRETTY BASIC AND TIRED LOOKING. THE HOTEL HAS AN ATRIUM WITH FLOOR TO CEILING PLANTS IN THE CENTRE OF THE HOTEL WHICH ALL ROOMS APPARENTLY OPEN UP ON TO.

The hotel itself was nice although a lift was broken whilst we were there & also the safe in the room was not working. Staff were polite.

The hotel is looking very dated now. Desperately needs updated. Sheet on bed had huge stain and the body lotion looked like it had been used by the previous guests. Shower tiny. Noisy people next door. Breakfast was good and the staff were saw were very nice. But shouldn't have to pay for parking under hotel if your a gueston it. And the

Need a good sleep? YES!!
We have a new puppy and I have been up with him between 4 and 5am. So I booked in here for a good nights sleep. Seamless book in, found the room easily. Stayed in the arboretum, which I love with the sound of the running water. Curtains shut, got into bed, first sleep 3 hours. Bed extremely comfortable and bed linen clean. However, the pillows smelt slept on/sweaty but a quick spray of my perfume when I went to have dinner made it nicer when I finally went to bed. Nine and a half hours sleep!! Plus the 3 before. Winner. Breakfast was ok, the cooked breakfast was luke warm at best, which was a shame cause there was a good choice. Also excellent choice if you wanted a lighter breakfast. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Very small shallow pool. Atrium rooms dingy.
Room was cold, especially at night. Being an atrium room (no outside window) it was dark and claustrophobic. Atrium doors didn’t close properly. Swimming pool very small and very shallow,more like a paddling pool. Impossible to swim. Depth at a small point in the middle which fanned upwards towards edges. Not for swimming or for more than, say, 2 people. Not told at time of booking building works were in progress. Buffet breakfast although plentiful was overcooked. Fully refundable booking. Checked out following day before 11am due to being unable to go for a swim (went for the pool) but they refused refund for following 2 nights. Hotel seemed almost empty. Main bar shut, just pricey Asian Restaurant open for meals and drinks - but we don’t like Asian food.

Hotel has perfect location, really lovely hotel friendly and helpful staff, breakfast 10 out of 10. Room very nice and spacious with balcony overlooking the atrium. Swimming pool nice size.

Place is amazing! Make sure to get a room with the atrium balcony, it'a beautiful. The plants are a wonderful touch, and during the day the sun lights everything up through the ceiling. Breakfast very tasty. Only thing we didn't like was our bed was quite firm, hard to sleep on without waking up or being sore after.

Front of the hotel looks great and the breakfast is nice but everything else is pretty bad. Internally the hotel is so tired and run down. The sofa in the room was disgusting. 40 years ago the hotel would have been amazing but sadly not anymore

Lovely hotel
Great hotel. Our room overlooked the atrium , which was lovely especially when lit up at night. Very happy with our room , it was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable too. The hotel receptionists we’re amazing & extremely helpful . Nothing was too much trouble and always with a smile. Breakfast was great. So much choice too!! We tried the pool , but it wasn’t for us. Definitely a leisure pool rather than a swimming pool , but if you’ve got little ones , it’s great. Normans bar was an added bonus , lovely little bar. Looking forward to another stay soon.

We were pleasantly surprised with the fantastic atrium in the middle of the hotel, which our balcony overlooked. The room was clean, tidy and spacious. The hotel staff were fantastically welcoming, friendly and helpful. A great base for our stay in Douglas, close to local pubs, bars and restaurants, which was perfect.

Lovely hotel, not suit business.
Lovely hotel, very large with good amentities needing a little modernisation and attention here and there. Breakfast was amazing, just dont go at 9 as its always busy then. A certain age of clientelle who come back many times. Small car park on site can be an issue as they sell more tickets than they have spaces so you might end up on the street even if you have paid to use it. WiFi is not sufficient, they really need to upgrade it. Dont try come here on business if you need internet.

Really friendly staff on reception & waitresses at breakfast. Breakfast was excellent, room was good but shower didn’t work very well and television was difficult to see from the beds! But overall we enjoyed the stay and lovely balcony with view below

Hotel is very grand, but very dated, in need of an update and repair, as the sink in our room was totally cracked. The pool is lovely, but the changing rooms smell musty. Breakfast is amazing...staff very helpful and polite. Excellent, central.location in Douglas. Overall, I would stay again.

Hotel was a little tired and needed an update but it was clean and breakfast was great. Not sure that I agree with only cleaning the room on the 3rd full day of the stay, as we were only there for 3 nights we did not get fresh towels and teas and coffee was not replenished

I stayed in a room attached to the atrium.. The room itself was lovely with a balcony.. however the atrium is warm with the room having no air conditioning The bathroom shower is small with mould that is more tired and needs an update The staff can not do enough for you

Friendly and welcoming. Good value for money.
Very friendly hotel staff. The hotel is showing its age, but good value for money and prime location. Good breakfast selection. No other meals served in the hotel but the adjoining restaurant, which is Pan Asian, cooked steak and chips on request. Small pool was ok, but no steam room, sauna or jacussi. Pool changing rooms smelt damp.
