Room and Pool Good, Breakfast Bad

The room was OK. We chose it for the indoor pool, and their pool was cleaner than the Dover Casino Hotel pool, even if the Hampton Inn did have rings in the toilet in the pool area. The hotel was generally very clean and well maintained, but the breakfast was a disaster. We found the selections very limited when compared to the Dover Hampton Inn or any other comparable hotel in the chain.
More distressingly, the staff member supporting the breakfast area had to be informed by several people that the milk was sour before he even deigned to check it. This led to unpleasant surprises for several people. With only orange juice being offered in the juice machine, he was not quick to ensure it stayed filled. The food in the warmers was lukewarm at best.
We've had much better breakfasts and certainly much better service at other Hilton brand well as other franchise hotels at half the price. We often choose the Hilton brand when traveling for leisure for an assurance of quality, and were sorely surprised this time. I would be hesitant to book here again unless assured they had made several changes.
