Location

The best part of this hotel is the location. You are very close to the Georgia Dome. The hotel is very old and outdated. I would only recommend staying for 1-2 nights maximum. I couldn't imagine staying there any longer.

Staff was excellent, hotel is badly needs makeover

Posted Sep 5, 2017
Pros: The hotel staff.
Cons: Hotel needs a remodel.
Location: About a block away from the MARTA, great Indian place across the street.
The staff here was great. Very friendly staff up front, everyone does their jobs efficiently. I even overheard someone volunteer to help someone else with their job because they finished all their work. The air conditioning works really well, room carpet was new, TV seems new. If you aren't a vegan, the breakfast options are great. They didn't have any alternative milks (almond or soy) so I had instant oatmeal and plain coffee everyday. Walls are pretty thin. Everything is super old. The lights flickered in the bathroom. The pillows were smaller than throw pillows. The desk chair had crumbs on it. The elevator is super scary. It will creak and moan and then blink back and forth between floors 10 and 13 sometimes. There weren't 13 floors...The wooden furniture and door were cracked. The bathroom door was hard to close. Hardly any counter space. No hanger hooks in the bathroom. No fan in the bathroom. If you stink up the bathroom, the A/C pushes the smell into the room.

Great location and pricing

Posted Aug 23, 2017
Pros: Location, price.
Cons: Some updating is required in the hallways and lobby areas. Fitness Center needs updating.
Location: CNN, Olympic Park, World of Coca-Cola, Aquarium, food on Broad Street, Peachtree Center
Hotel is in a great location, walking distance to Olympic Park, CNN, Coca-Cola, Georgia Aquarium. Also great food nearby on Broad Street. Staff is wonderful and willing to provide direction assistance. Facility is old and showing some age. The rooms are upgraded and beds are quite nice. Hallways, common areas, lobby are an older style and are due for renovations. Breakfast is sausage, waffles, eggs, fruit, cereal, typical items. Note this is no longer a Quality Inn brand. Fitness Centre needs updating as most of the equipment is not working.

Always trust your instincts

Posted Jul 24, 2017
Pros: The hotel manager and day time front desk clerk were very nice after we finally got everything sorted out.
The hotel was shady and not very clean. The room was hot even after we shut the shades and turned the A/C down as far as it would go. They had NO first aid kit (it was empty and we were told it was full the day before and that housekeeping must have taken everything out of it that day) after one of us stepped on a piece of glass in our room that went thru her shoe and cut the bottom of her foot. The glass was from a beer bottle and did not belong to us, so that is why I gave the room cleanliness a low rating. If I could have given it lower, I would have. The only reason I'm giving it a higher rating on the hotel staff is because after we were told we would have to wait until the next day when the manager came in (she was off for the night when it all happened and has a baby at home so they "didn't want to call her that late" and then we were told they tried to call her but she "shut her phone off so the baby could sleep") to know if we could get a refund, the hotel's manager was very nice and did what needed to be done to give us a full refund so we could go stay somewhere else. (Kudos to Greta and Victoria) There were people coming in off the streets to use the restroom and some even hung out in the breakfast area. It was a pretty bad experience all the way around. I don't recommend this hotel.
