Slowest elevators anywhere

Pros: Close to everything!
Cons: Faster elevators!
We enjoyed our stay. Valet parking (which is mandatory) is expensive. The room was fine, but the elevators were very slow. Even the Valet attendant said sometimes he has to wait 10 minutes for an elevator. Considering there are four or five elevators, they should be much quicker.

Third time Staying Here. Hotel is very well located and priced. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Parking is a little bit overpriced $32 for overnight? The disappointment was the shower selector lever was not functional and had to use the tub.

Unfriendly check in

Pros: The room was clean and neat, cleaning staff was very good, valet parking staff are excellent. They unloaded and loaded my car. The food was very good.
Cons: Desk staff being helpful and repair the shower
Location: The location is very good with plenty of restaurants, bars and venues within walking distance.
This stay was at the Hilton Garden Inn Austin, Texas. My wife asked the desk person to look up our Hilton rewards account. He told my wife she could look it up on a computer in the business center. My wife called customer service. They helped her but said they could not understand why the desk clerk couldn't look it up at check in and thought it was strange he did not. We went back to the desk clerk and told him what customer service said, he then looked it up, Being an older couple we are not totally aware of all the intricacies of computers and smart phones. It appears the clerk took it for granted we did. The room we were assigned to was noisy and there was traffic sounds all night being on the corner by the freeway I-35. In addition, the mattress was extremely hard and very uncomfortable. The shower head was loose in the wall and could be pushed back and forth several inches. The room was clean and the breakfast buffet was really good.

Great hotel close to Downtown Austin

I liked my staying at the Hilton Garden Hotel, very near to 6th street. Great and pleasant room, very professional staff. The only negative thing I found is the smell in the hallway. The carpet also needs some attention. Overall I love the staying at this hotel.
