Came to Austin to see Tori Amos at ACL Live next door. Fantastic hotel and great hospitality! Even served champagne at check-in! Added plus is that every time we entered the room, it always smelled fresh.... every. time.

Not worth the money;

Pros: Car valet was more than courteous considering the line, traffic
Cons: Rate? Noon or 1 pm key cut off? color scheme?
Short on registration people, ugly hall color and carpet, Love Boat meets Submarine w/ grey carpet, trip and wall paper. Carpet is seemingly worn out. Lines at check in were mostly due to under-staff. (2x people). Then they automatically cut off every one's keys so you couldnt get up the elevator at 11 30 am which is insulting for a hotel of this price deck. There were 6+ conference attendees in line to re -key their cards for noon checkout before going back to conference.

Nice, modern hotel downtown Austin

The hotel staff was wonderful! Everyone was pleasant and personable. The hotel conceirge even went to the store to get my husband some cold medicine because he was sick. very friendly and great customer service

Pool closes early folks

Way over priced hotel. Not so much "bang" for your buck. First off, why does your pool close at 730pm? Makes no sense. So we ordered room service, a burger medium well...came to us medium rare...then brought us another one but my daughter was grossed out already and on check out, they kindly removed the charge. The window curtain did not close all the way so the sun is hitting your eye balls early in the morning. The door to the shower wouldn't close all the way either so water got all over the floor. Had issues with our WiFi, and it was late so nothing was done. No AED in hallway by elevators. We stayed in room 1213. Overall, pass on it and get another hotel that has a pool that stays open later passed 730pm and a AED in he hotel. I'll never stay here again.

A solid experience.

I enjoyed my stay last weekend at the W. It's not too far of a walk from sites around Downtown ATX,but it's a hike to Rainey st or the Capital. Nice view the river from the 7th floor up on one side or a solid view of Downtown from the other side. I didn't get a chance to try the restaurant nor bar but they were busy all weekend. My room was well kept, oddly no "go green" option I've found at other W's. Though I was near the elevator (forgot to request otherwise) the hallway was very quiet and I barely heard any loud noises for the neighbors.

Fun rooftop pool and bar with great people!

We had a last-minute family staycation since my husband hadn't been able to have a getaway all summer. This was our first stay at the W and we didn't regret it! Everyone was friendly and professional and we had a blast. The bed was probably the most comfortable I've ever slept on. Love the room. The only thing that could have improved was poolside service, I usually had to go to the bar to order my own food and drinks. But we'll definitely be back!

Coffee issue

I love coffee but they only gave me a choice of expresso. Where did regular coffee and tea go?
