First trip to Birmingham. Loved it‼

Posted Jun 16, 2017
We traveled to Birmingham for an athletic event and stayed at the Redmont for eight nights. The hotel is an older building recently updated. Highlights: Outstanding customer service, a restaurant that served very good food, parking across the street, and walking access to many historical sites. Lowlights: Small rooms with only one chair at a desk, and no place to hang towels in the bathroom. Housekeeping could use some training in bathroom cleaning and restocking items. I would come back, perhaps upgrading to a suite.

We loved the Redmont: lovely room, areas to sit and read, a rooftop bar and beautiful dining room. Excellent service and staff. Food was exceptional. Updated and sophisticated decor. Our go-to Birmingham hotel!

Started out shaky

Posted May 2, 2017 on Hotels
When we arrived at the hotel, there was no record of a room for us, even though we had a confirmation printout from Hotels.com. Luckily, they honored the price and the room that were initially rented per the Hotels.com contract. The room was on the small side, but not uncomfortably so. The bathroom was one of the nicest I have ever experienced, with a walk-in shower, and rainfall simulating shower. Upon arrival, one can either pay $22 a night for anytime you need it valet parking, or attempt to find a parking place around town. I recommend staying here if you ever find yourself in Birmingham.
