Awful hotel and location

Awful hotel and location staff not welcoming , no facility for breakfast no discussion on area . The review on hotel is not a a true reflection

Positive Experience

Even though the hotel was going through renovations, my experience was a positive one. The staff was very friendly and my room was very nice.

Renovation mess

Under construction everywhere the new bathrooms were nice but didn't make up for the mess everywhere else in the halls and the elevator for example. details in the room weren't taken care of such as outlets and lights that didn't work

The Hotel Highland had changed its name to Hotel Indigo. Supposedly it was under reconstruction. It was the only business open within a 1 block area. All advertised amenities were not available. The building was falling apart. The lighting in the elevators and rooms looked like lighting one would see in a strip club. The only reason we kept the reservation was due to lack of rooms elsewhere to stay. The neighborhood in this area is very run-down.

Offer half price for under renovation but close to

That was getting luxury downtown. Place starting renovation process. My room was very basic motel room not worth $125 pricetag. Should be warned when hotel is under renovation. Air conditing ducts in hallway hose reached out into hall? Rediculous. They should offer for $60 due to location close to medical facilities and college. Given $5.00 pass to walk down street in rain to pancake house? Could not use them.

Do not book this hotel

This hotel is basically a building site. The name Highland has been all but eradicated to the extent we could not find it. Even so called renovated rooms have not been finished. The hotel should not be on sale. We were told we had a newly refurbished room. The sink was badly cracked and the glass shower doors were hanging loose - surely dangerous. If this was refurbished builders need to be brought back in. Breakfast was not available on site and we had to pay a local restaurant for coffee. No free water available. All in all a very poor hotel which is not to be recommended.ndreadful stay. Hotel not interested in our comments because booked through third party. DO NOT BOOK!

Would I Stay Here Again? Maybe...

This hotel is under renovation currently, and the room reflected it. Comfortable bed, nice view. OK location, but the area has gotten more run down than I realized. Very courteous staff, and you got a $5 voucher for breakfast at the Pancake House while they are renovating. Overall an acceptable stay.

Not Happy

We were not advised in your information that the hotel was under renovation. The room was not completely renovated. The shower doors were not on track at the bottom, there were no shelves in the shower, complimentary breakfast was at another location that we didn'the have time to go to, complementary parking was $3.00, and I had to show my printout for free water. I feel like I deserve a refund.
