Close to everything

Posted Jul 26, 2017
Pros: Great location without congestion
Cons: Would be nice to have a mini-frig in hotel and bigger counters in the bathroom. Also had long wait for elevators
Location: Great location. Close of Boston Commons, Public Gardens, Freedom Trail , subway, Chinatown.
Hotel location great, close to Boston Public Gardens and Boston Commons. Easy access to subway which we used daily. Close to China Town for great dumplings. Location allowed walking the Freedom Trail without experiencing the congestion associated with other hotels in area. Also had a nice balcony with great views of the city. Nice rooftop deck and enclosed pool. My husband and I enjoyed our week in Boston thanks to the wonderful staff.

Nice hotel, close walk to the freedom trail

Posted Jul 25, 2017
This hotel is very nice, clean, and friendly staff. My only negative is that we booked it because of the rooftop pool /lounge area amenity. After a very hot day of touring, we wanted to come back to the hotel, have a swim and drink on the rooftop deck to relax. It was closed for a private party. We had no communication in the morning or when we checked in that it would be closed. To make matters worse, they only have 3 very slow elevators and they commandeered 2 of the elevators for only the private party. That left 1 elevator for all of the guests. We waited 20 mins for an elevator to take us to the rooftop pool only to find out we can't use it, then waited 30 more minutes to get on an elevator back to our room. They also don't let you use the stairs. So, I would say if you care about using that amenity, ask to be sure it won't be closed, I personally don't think they should allow it to ever be closed off to guests ever, since that is an advertised amenity

Elevators, noise were a problem; beds comfortable

Posted Jul 21, 2017
Pros: The beds are very comfortable and the location is good. 2 Blocks from Boston Commons. We loved our housekeeper, Binta.
Cons: Better elevator service. I'm not sure that one more elevator will help that much.
Location: Mostly big chain restaurants around it, but it is growing and will become more interesting in time. Newberry St is fun to walk to and the T is close
Our room was fine. Nicely decorated. The elevators were a nightmare. We waited 30 minutes to get our luggage down at checkout because every elevator was full (we were on the 9th floor). Staff said that one more elevator should be working soon. I would recommend asking to stay on a higher level because there was also noise from a club downstairs from our room. If that is fixed, then I think I could recommend it to a friend.

Watch your credit card after you have left!

Posted Jul 18, 2017
Hotel was in good location and enjoyed stay, checked out fine and reception informed nothing on account to pay. 7 days after leaving the hotel and back in the UK a sum of money was taken from our credit card. Having tried to contact the hotel on several occasions and no acknowledgment I am left having to post on line to try and sort the money taken from my credit card. Would not visit the hotel again but only due to this. I would say to all people going to visit the Revere to check your card after you have left as this must be a great money earner for them, now in the UK it is very difficult to resolve.

Nice clean comfortable

Posted Jul 17, 2017
Pros: Very clean and comfortable bed. Large flat screen TV
Cons: Refrigerator in every room.
Location: OK location. 1st time to Boston, big city so kinda far away from a lot of things. If we go again I would rather be more in the center of town.
Our room didn't have a refrigerator which I needed for my Insulin. They had one brought up to the room a soon as I inquired about it. Wish I had known there was a public parking garage across the street instead of paying $50/night at the hotel one. Booked and paid for our reservation thru Expedia. Didn't notice till I got home and looked at my charge card on line that they also charged me for the room at the hotel. Called a couple of days ago to get a refund and had to leave a message and haven't heard back from them yet. Hopefully this will be taken care of soon.

Easy to walk to many things including the Swan boats, Cheers bar and many restaurants. An easy taxi ride to Fenway. Took about ten minutes to get to stadium and got to see a great game. Room was great.

Cool hotel in middle of theater district.

Great spot close to Boston Commons. Great restaurants at the North End...try Mare. Also Toro at South Boston is worth the trip.

Nice, but could be better

Posted Jul 15, 2017
Pros: The modern, tasteful appearance and rooms.
Cons: See above. Check-in, elevators and fees.
Location: Convenient
The room was clean, pleasant and tasteful, especially some of the details. The overall hotel is very nice and modern. The location is convenient. However, check-in took about 20-30 minutes of waiting in line as the only two staff attempted to sometimes help a single guest. There should be cross-trained staff to step in when there is a line. Further, since the hotel was busy and one of four elevators was out of service, there was another 15-20 minute line waiting for the elevator to get to the room. Incidentally, the elevator remained unrepaired for our stay. Since busy times and elevator breakdowns can be anticipated, the hotel should consider adding an elevator if possible, perhaps to an outside wall. There was also a significant resort/extra fee, which is an irritation and deception. Such fees are better left part of the full advertised price.

Resort Fee?

Posted Jul 11, 2017
There was good and bad to the Revere. The Concierge service was great and the room was comfortable. The elevators were the worst and it sometimes took 20 minutes to get an elevator. Also, on 3 different occasions, I went to the bar, ordered a drink and was told there wasn't a bartender there. On check out, I was told there was a 20 dollar per day "resort fee" in addition to what I had already paid. I think they are pushing it calling themselves a resort. They don't even have a restaurant in the hotel, and usually don't have a bartender either. I will stay elsewhere on my next visit to Boston. We loved the city.
