Perfect location and excellent amenities

Cons: Walls of the suite could get a bit more art. I see a robe, but no slippers? huh? Bed was not that comfortable.
I came to Boston for work for a few days, and the Ames was literally across the street from where I was working. With views of the Old City Hall from my suite window (and Christmas carolers in the street upon my evening arrival, and steps away from restaurants and bars, it could not have been a more perfect location. The hotel itself was lovely, and the suite was rather cozy, although its walls could use a bit more decoration! No complaints about the wi-fi. Desk and table were pretty good for computer work. Overall highly satisfied.

Great hotel in the heart of Boston

Pros: The staff, the cleanliness of the fascillities, the restaurant was excellent.
Cons: The beds were very low and not as comfortable as I like.
Location: Great historical Boston within walking distance.
I have a wonderful stay recently at The Ames. My only problem was that the beds were very low and not as comfortable as I expect Hilton beds to be. other than I they wonderful staff, lovely amenities were 1st class. I am looking forward to my next stay.

Very convenient location.

Not too far from the airport and was in a central location in the downtown area. Also, was not far from the suburbs of the city. I was visiting for work, but wanted to visit a friend that lived outside of the downtown area so the location surprisingly worked well for me.

Great staff. Helpful doorman, Derek! Nothing walking distance of great food, entertainment, historical sites and shopping.

Positives and Negatives

We were pleasantly surprised by the size of our double double room and the updated decor. The view from our room was breathtaking. We stayed on the 11 th floor and overlooked the cityscape. The beds were comfortable and the toiletry amenities were top grade. Location of this motel is ideal for walking to many landmarks: Quincy Market, the waterfront, TDGarden, and prime shopping. There is a trolley stop at the end of the block for those places that are not within walking distance. The only negatives were our room was not made up one day and I had to call the front desk for service at 4:30. Also our safe broke on the second day and was not promptly repaired causing us to carry all cash and valuables with us the rest of our stay. I would recommend this hotel for any visit to Boston.

First Class Hotel in Boston

Ames Hotel was such a wonderful experience for our first trip to Boston. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like first-class guests. As a rewards member, we received an upgraded suite, free bottled water, and snacks in the room. Our room was so lovely, the huge floor to ceiling window overlooking the Old State House was so lovely! The room was so spacious and the double TVs was a nice touch. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We will absolutely stay here again.

big decption

Bathroom constantly flooded when you have a shower, miror light not working, impossible to change temperature inside the room which was too cold, breakfast of very poor quality No cleaning at all the day before the last day. I would not recommand at all this hotel!!!!!!

Perfect location

Every moment here was perfection. From the staff to the room to the location. We were greeted by the most pleasant employees. We had to wait a little bit for our room to be ready so we decided to venture around the area. You couldn't ask for a better location! The subway station was directly across from the hotel. We were walking distance to Quincy Market and Boston Harbor. We were also surrounded by amazing restaurants and coffee shops. Once we got to our room we were in awe. The room was breathtaking. We will definitely be staying here again!

Smaller rooms, doesn't matter..

Our stay here was fantastic. The location in Boston is unparalleled- walking distance to Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, Downtown Crossing, the theater district, Boston Common and more! Room was small but very cool, we especially liked the glass wall shower, very sexy!! Highly recommend...
