Nice hotel. Front desk staff not too friendly. Try to ask where have restaurant after check in around 7:30 pm. 2 rooms but one room's key is not work.

Calgary comfort

Pros: It's location.
Cons: Points rewarded for your stay.
Location: This hotel is right near numerous restaurants, the train systems, and tourist attractions.
This hotel is located just steps from their inner-city train line. There are 4 stops within the "free zone". Breakfast and lunch buffets are served, but seem pricey. Check in with Petra and Osman was quick and cheerful. Each provided insight as to the surrounding area. My room was spacious, well-ventilated. There was sufficient lighting to take care of clerical work. Housekeeping did a wonderful job cleaning and providing toiletries and bottled water. The only major drawback was NOT getting reward points. No wonder their spokesman dork has his hands up as if he's about to be beaten. I would recommend this hotel.

Centrally located but no parking arrangements- had to pay fees for overnight at a city lot. Rooms were tidy but dimly lit and very poor pillows. Outside noise within the hotel was really loud. There's a very good Ramada in my city which is why I chose this. For the price, a Holiday Inn express offers a far auperior experience.

Pros: It was handy to my brother which was most important for this visit.
Cons: They didn't have a fridge or microwave in the room and none was provided on request. Room was large enough for sitting area, but no furniture there.
Location: Good shopping within walking distance but staff did not know much about the art pieces on the streets around.
The room I was initially provided had major problems with the air conditioning. However, I was switched to a better room upon request.

Central and affordable!

Pros: Location, affordability, staff, comfort.
Cons: The place does look a bit run down and outdated.
Location: Centrally located - close to light transit, tourist attractions (Calgary Tower, Glenbow Museum), parks - all within walking distance.
Went to Calgary for a wedding and wanted a centrally located hotel - as it was Labour Day weekend w/several big festivals happening, finding an affordable option was not easy. My sister recommended this hotel as she had stayed here for work travel. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient and helpful with directions for nearby convenience store to pick up some food, etc. The room was clean, comfortable and well supplied. Went to the breakfast buffet both mornings - not overly imaginative on the food selection, but it was hearty and filling and the servers were cheerful. The hotel is in need of updating but that is the worst thing I can say about it. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel, really nice outdoor pool. Room was very hot. Couldn't open the window as there was no screen and it backed onto the pool balcony that every guest could access. We had the temperature turned down as low as it could go but it didn't seem to make a difference. There was a smal fan provided in the room but we were still waking up all night due to the heat (stay was during early September, so late summer / early fall weather)

The room was great. The location was great (lots of restaurants in the area). The staff were very helpful in recommending a pub for dinner and drinks.

It was ok

Pros: The location was good, clean and nice rooms and lobby. Did like they had an outdoor pool.
Cons: Include parking and breakfast in room rates. Wish there was an indoor pool.
Location: We were downtown so lots of restaurants and Eau Claire Park was amazing.
The hotel and room was nice and we loved having a room on third floor that opened to outdoor pool but the parking wasn't good even though it was valet, it was expensive and not included in the room price and the parking lot was so steep to enter. Breakfast wasn't included and while the food and buffet was good it was expensive. Also they gave us a room with double beds only not queen and they were a tad too small. The outdoor pool the whole weekend was used by guests of the hotel that were photographers and their models and it was uncomfortable and intrusive. We loved you could order movies but you could only watch them once. The management though was very accommodating and gave us a credit when we complained which was nice.

I liked the pool

The hotel itself was good. I was happy with the room and I was happy with the staff in the restaurant. The one thing I did not like was we were unable to park in the hotel parking due to the height restrictions. I didn't see that mentioned on the website when I was looking it up and it should be mentioned for future reference. Wheaton fortunately had to use a Parkade three blocks away and walk to the hotel.
