Nice Hotel but Do Not Stay on 3rd Floor

This hotel was great location and great staff, but no one warned us about staying on the 3rd floor! The hotel has a "rooftop" bar just off of the 3rd floor. Unfortunately, the only way to access the rooftop bar is through the regular elevators located on our floor and right next to our room. That being said, we heard everyone coming and going from the bar at all hours of the night (rowdy crowds and running up and down the floor). If we knew about this ahead of time, we would have asked to move rooms and change to a different floor. I'm sure you can imagine the crowds on a Friday and Saturday night. We didn't get any sleep and had to be up at 7:00 AM for our flight home. Otherwise, the hotel is a nice facility, clean and has a great shuttle to go downtown to the historic district.

Close to downtown Charleston

Easy drive to downtown, close to the College of Charleston, great restaurants and shopping. Bathroom could've been cleaner. Bathrooms need an update. Beds are comfortable and firm, nice pillows too. Very good food at the hotel restaurant at reasonable prices. Lovely outdoor gathering areas.

Nice stay at the Marriot

Check in was seamless. Upgraded to concierge floor. Staff is very nice and helpful. Location was good but not close to the historic district. Parking could be better. Room was very nice and clean. Had great view of the Ashley River. Lobby, pool, restaurant, bar all were very nice and well kept. Would definitely come back and stay here. The "rooftop deck" is actually on the third floor which is misleading but the area is very nice but not opened every night. Concierge lounge was nice and the food was good. Nice view of the city from the lounge. Overall, a very pleasant stay and recommend the hotel highly.
