Run from this hotel!

We are FL residents who had to evacuate from the hurricane. We booked 2 rooms on Expedia. We paid for the rooms the minute we booked. One of our parties reached the hotel around midnight and we arrived at 3 am. Upon arrival a gentleman named Antonio T greeted us by saying we were lucky we still had a room coming in so late. I told him I had called the hotel to explain the evacuation traffic and we would arrive in the middle of the night. I was assured our room would be waiting for us. He then went to argue that we were blessed that he saved it because he didn't have to save it even though it was paid in advance. His credit card machine wouldn't work and would he would not let us in our already pre-paid room because he couldn't swipe a card for incidentals. Even though our other party had already given him a card for incidentals. It took an hour of arguing with him before he final called a manager to ask how to handle since their machine didn't work and he only did this after I googled Holiday Inn Corporate to call for help. He didn't let us in our pre-paid room until 4 am. He wanted to talk over us and tell us we were blessed we could even afford his hotel. Ha! We videotaped the whole incident. He acted like a nutcase and the video will be going to Holiday Inn Corporate.

Great breakfast, but hate to pay for parking

Pros: The breakfast.
Cons: Clean the carpet in the rooms. Smell musty and makes our feet smell. Do not charge parking fee.
This hotel is not right downtown, has a regular parking lot, not a parking garage. Yet still charges $5/day for parking. I'm not happy with that. But the breakfast is good.

Staff on June 24 and 25 was 2nd to none. By far the best I have ever had at any hotel.

Nice hotel

We had a good experience at this hotel. Staff was friendly, and the room was clean. The complimentary coffee and breakfast was a life saver on a stormy morning with hungry kids.

The hotel staff were very friendly and accomodationg. The hotel is close to down town, wherein you can access downtown from either direction. Be mindful of the road construction being conducted by the city, which could contribute to some unwanted noise. Nevertheless, my wife and I really enjoyed our stay.

Great hotel within minutes of downtown attractions

We were very pleased with our experience at this hotel. The desk staff was friendly and helpful, the were great to our children as well. They believed the hotel to be the best part of our trip. Highly recommend this hotel!

Reservation Mess. Meets Average Requirements.

While everyone was very friendly, and the hotel clean there were several things I did not like about my stay here. 1) Reservation Administration was a mess. I booked a night for my family on Hotels.com, and a second night was paid for by my employer for work purposes. They could not get the reservation figured out to an extent that at 11pm on the second night, they were knocking on my room door (waking my whole family) to tell me that the room was supposed to be vacant. 2) We regretfully left our child's bed rail at the hotel. My family left Chattanooga that morning, while I left the city around 5:30pm, around nine hours later. My wife called me from home around 6pm after she unpacked the car and realized that forgot the rail. I was too far gone from Chattannooga to go back for it (Let alone the rush hour traffic mess). The hotel should have found it much earlier in the day and made a call to my wife to let her know she forgot it. I could have easily swung by the hotel earlier in the afternoon to grab it before I left town. I don't know why they didn't call us. (as of this writing...they STILL have not called us to let us know...and I know they have my number, cuz they needed it twice trying to still figure out the reservation). 3) The breakfast is very sub-par. There are many healthy options, but most of it comes out of a freezer or a box. It will do in a pinch, but keep your expectations low. Good location. Friendly staff. Clean. Good value. Could be better.

I was really happy with my stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. Clean and comfortable. Definitely will stay there again when i go back
