Renovation is almost done which is why I gave it 3 stars. But rooms are very nice and spacious, beds were super comfortable, staff was very nice and super accommodating. Will be great once renovation is complete.

The only downside to our stay was that the bar was closed due to remodeling. Other than that, our room was clean and beautiful and the staff was very friendly.

The experience was generally good, because of the employees and location. However, the bar area appeared to be closed and being renovated. The rooms though nicely renovated, was missing a hair dryer. The air conditioning didn’t work well, we had to sleep on top of the cover, also no fan setting so just hot/cold settings. The closet was missing hangers for pants. And strangely, the management appears to have opted not to put phones in the rooms. May seem trivial until you A) have an emergency B) need to contact the front desk, as we did, to get a hair dryer. Having to search for a hotel phone number and go thru a phone tree of options was pretty silly. Potential for great hotel. Was using credits from Expedia, so cost little in the end, but if it was all my own money, I would have been disappointed. Room numbers still covered with tape from construction and signs to rooms from elevator leads in wrong direction. These things aren’t a big deal, but indicates a bit of a rush to put rooms to use.

Upon check-in, the lady that helped us was phenomenal! She explained that they were going through renovations and explained options in the area for dining, bars, etc. and also gave some brief history of the hotel itself. The room was incredible, especially with the remodel of the rooms and the floors. It was exceptionally clean and the staff including valet were friendly. We will definitely be back!

Everything has been updated beautifully. Our room and bathroom were gorgeous. The only bad thing is that the parking garage is a block and a half away.

Good ambiance, nicely, renovated, and updated, very comfortable rooms with excellent shower and well designed bath. Parking is adjacent and limited. There are very few options if you do not use the valet

Very poor service, Valet parking returned Car with rust stains from car park. Car was brand new, and Manager denied responsibility. Hotel was under going renovation and dust every where. Charged for Valet parking even after returning car with staining......Very poor business practices and very dishonest manager.

Zero privacy shower and no real bathroom mirror. The location was good and the staff very helpful and pleasant. A simple frosted glass panel between sink and room would make the stay more comfortable!

Yes the hotel is under construction, but it’s fabulous! The rooms are so beautiful and quiet. The areas completed are so nice. Everyone was kind and welcoming. We loved it so much we’re planning a trip to go back when it’s finished just to see everything. Don’t think twice. Just book it.

It was not disclosed that the majority of the hotel was under construction. I paid over $200 to ride in a torn apart elevator and not able to use the bar on the hotel as it was advertised online. Very disappointing

This hotel is going to be beautiful when it is completed. The attention to detail in the rooms was incredible - the scribing of the molding to the brick was impressive, as was the way in which the molding was created to accommodate the curtains. The bathroom is incredible, especially the shower. I did not mind staying in a place undergoing renovations because it was interesting to see the development of this property. The staff was attentive and super helpful. They provided us detailed information about where to go to get a good bite to eat at 9 pm on a Tuesday night, and gave us a bit of background, along with advice of where to go for an interesting after-dinner drink that was truly special. Kudos to the night staff.

For what they’re trying to be, they have a long way to go. No room service. The toilet seat had to be held up by hand, otherwise it would fall back into place and get peed on. The sink didn’t drain properly. My wife went for a massage to relax on her vacation, and the lady giving the massage decided to bring politics up and mentioned the “plandemic” more than once.

Was very impressed with the history of the motel. They were on the last part of renovating the lobby and I love that they left some of the original structures. They front desk lady Jill was fantastic!! She went out of her way to make us feel welcomed.

Loved the Mining Exchange - such a cool hotel. It is in the middle of a renovation and things are a little discombobulated but the new interiors are gorgeous!!! The rooms need lights that have a USB port for charging phones and coffee/tea service in the room but other than that I loved it.

Beautiful place
We were greeted be very courteous staff. The lobby is beautiful, plenty of places to sit and visit. You can see the original vault which is amazing. We saw smaller vaults in the stairwell and the housekeeping storage was a vault as well. Our room was nice and comfortable. There is some updates going on by the elevators and they are adding a barista and bar in the lobby. We will definitely return. Plenty of places to grab a meal from breakfast to dinner. We recommend King Chef diner, Red Gravy, and Jack Quinn’s to name a few.
