Great views, very close to train station

Posted Oct 20, 2017
The hotel was very nice, and kid friendly. All of the staff that I encountered were very accommodating and polite. The room was spacious and comfortable. I was however surprised that the swimming pool was so small and pretty unremarkable considering the size of the hotel. Overall we had a great stay and my 5 yr old loved every minute of it.

It was great!! After a long day of disappointment I just wanted a clean and cozy hotel and some sleep. The staff was nice and helpful. I was satisfied with my stay!

Very disappointing, would not stay there again. Can't say much more really. Dinners overpriced and not very nice. The only good thing was breakfast. Slept bad due to noise. Should come with earplugs, plumbing and train noise very loud. Rooms are not very clean. We ordered complementary items, essentials really, half was forgotten, when asked again, one of the items was still forgotten. Wall by the bed had stains, that could definitely have been removed. No consistency with room items, like water and tea. Very disappointing. Breakfast buffet was about the only good thing about our stay, staff was lovely. I was visiting for work and didn't feel refreshed after nights sleep due to noise.

I choose this hotel for three main reasons, it's proximity to JFK Museum, the free shuttle they offered and the fact it's connected to the Reunion Tower. It turned out that the guy who drives the shuttle quit, so we were out of luck with that the staff told us. I mentioned this was one of the reasons I choose this hotel over others, and they couldn't have cared less. Then I asked the a person at the concierge desk if I can buy tickets to the Geo Deck in the Reunion Tower when we got back from dinner around 7pm. He assured me there was no need to buy in advance. We returned from dinner to find out they were having a private party and were not sending anyone up until 10am the next day, which would not work for us since we we had plans the next day and only had two days in Dallas. So, while the hotel itself was nice, I was not happy with their customer service and attitude. I would not stay there again if I returned to Dallas.

Loudest hotel I have ever stayed in.

Posted Oct 13, 2017
Pros: This hotel has a nice gym. The lobby elevators have glass windows and go to 16th floor. You can ride them up and down like an amusement park ride.
Cons: Just pick up the hotel and move it away from the trains tracks if you can.
Location: The hotel is very central. the Daley plaza where Kennedy got shot, 6th floor museum, pioneer park are walking distance.
We reached our hotel tired and checked in. We got our key cards and made our way to our room on the 12th floor. Well the keys did not open the door. So we had to make our way back to the front office. The person there suggested us the door key might run out of battery, we should go up there and try the keys again. If it fails we should call the maintenance and wait for the person to come over and change the battery on the door key. It was an awesome start to our stay. The hotel room is nice and the bathroom and the facilities are excellent. However I find this hotel to be the loudest hotel I have ever stayed in. The train station is nearby and seems like the trains run all night with their loud airhorns. My wife can sleep through nuclear war but I am sensitive to sound and could not sleep for two nights. The hotel lobby also guests a large bar where people watch football games etc. and cheer. All that noise also moves up the ground floor since all the rooms are facing the courtyard. It like a chimney pulling all that noise up.

Great Location

Posted Oct 12, 2017
Pros: It is a pretty hotel.
Cons: Pool, and gym area, plus, a hotel of this size should have a spa.
Location: Great location - close to lots of Dallas favorites, JFK Museum, Art Museum, restaurants.
Went to celebrate my husband's birthday with another couple. We enjoyed the revolving bar and the Italian restaurant was nice. Really enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the morning too. Somewhat disappointed in the work out room (small) and really disappointed in the pool area (looks like and over sized hot tub), and surprised that there was no spa facility for massages, etc. Not a bad experience, but we would have liked more amenities.

Everything is closeby

Pros The hotel is centrally located and you can walk to many stores and the JFK memorial. Their food is good and there is a shop open 24 hours. Cons The colorscheme is tired and old. Worst thing__ no hand-held shower.

Coordination among staff is poor. I had to walk back to the reception since the key was not working. Has to call concierge for water since housekeeping did not leave a water in the room.

Get away from the kids

Just an overnight stay to relax and get away from our two teenagers for a day. My wife and I could not have asked for more!
