A classic for a reason.

Posted Aug 1, 2017
Pros: staff, location, history
Location: 16th St mall buses to attractions. Near Capitol
Architecturally magnificent, top flight staff. Clean and sensible rooms. The bars ooze period detail, the lobby remains breathtaking, everything was perfect.

Historic Hotel, High Tea

Posted Jul 27, 2017
Pros: On-site dining, comfortable room (cool, dark).
Cons: Storage and electrical outlets in the room (for business travelers).
Location: Good location downtown. Plenty of transportation options to get you from Point A to B.
The Brown Palace is a historic hotel in downtown Denver. The hotel itself is clean and well-run. Staff didn't stick out one way or another. Courtesy vehicle is a nice touch. High tea is a draw. Dining options on sight, some hits and some misses. Great french onion soup, lobster salad sandwich, just average marks for the reuben and burger. The room was clean and comfortable, but because the hotel is older it leaves you searching for outlets and storage space. I felt the price for the room was a bit steep (over $400) but the location is good and really no major complaints.

9th floor suite. Minor cosmetic defects but for the cost, I expect perfect. Hotel staff was helpful and credited the cost of valet.

There is no comparison to this hotel, outstanding! Every detail is thought of and they have their own honey from bee's on the roof! Ask when you get there!

The hotel is a treasure, but needs significant updating. The ceiling paint in our room was badly cracking and hanging down, the bathroom is small and I kept hitting my elbow on the poorly-placed toiletry rack in the shower, the hallways are dingy, and the room service food was terrible.
