Awesome hotel and location

Cons: the bathroom was tiny but well decorated.
Location: Best part of the stay was the location. Short walk to the stadiums, Cobo Hall, Riverwalk and of course the Sweetwater Tavern.
Great staff and a great place to stay for any occasion. We were here for a Tigers game and will definitely choose the Crowne Plaza again next time. The experience was probably the best we've ever had at a hotel in downtown Detroit.

Great Location... Bad Service

This Hotel has stopped trying... they have amazing restaurants and a great location. But the housekeeping staff is a joke... 2 nights in a row I came home and nothing was done... and the entire stay they did not empty my trash cans in the sleeping area. Even after complaining to the front desk it took speaking to several people and Expedia... This Hotel is rather expensive I would not stay there again! However La Dulce is a great restaurant!

Outdated hotel, reservation was messed up

Payed the extra fee to ensure 2 queen beds and a cot instead of 2 doubles in order to have a cot, only to find when we checked in we were reserved in a double room and the queen rooms were all full. Staff updated us to queen suite without cot for the same price but the room was outdated and not as clean as a hotel of this calibre should be. Suite was crammed, shower was tiny, cold water in both sinks was warm. Agent at the check in counter was very sympathetic and friendly but unable to help us. Will not stay there again!

Nice hotel close to all the arenas

Pros: Loved the corner room, staff was helpful, quick to check everyone in & the fridge in the room. the little shop in the lobby is cute & has a few items
Cons: For the price of the room, there needs be an offering for continental breakfast. People with gluten issues cannot buy the bagels at the little shop.
Location: very close to the arenas - we walked and had a nice crowd walking too. that made it even more fun.
great location, staff were so friendly and i didn't have to wander too far to find the fitness center, pool & restaurant. Love the fridge in the room - that's a rarity lately. Really need to have a continental offering in the mornings for the price of the room. Coffee is out by the valet but by then, we were ready to leave. There is nothing else offered.

Stayed for My 40th Birthday Celebration and literally got treated like Royalty. Even received a Complimentary bottle of Wine. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely be returning.

Birthday stay

The room was very nice. It was very clean and the beds were very nice very comfortable. I paid for a breakfast with my room and when I went down to the restaurant to eat the waiter was very rude and told me I had to pay for my bill and I told him know that I already paid for it when I reserved the room. He came back a little bit later and told me that it was paid for which I already knew because I already paid for but he did not apologize or anything I feel that his attitude towards me was very unprofessional.

A good choice

The staff we're very friendly and helpful. The valet guys were particularly helpful when we had some unfortunate car trouble. The room was small but quite nice, and the location couldn't have been better. There was a very loud party on the floor above us one night that seemed to allow to go later than it should have, but overall the hotel was a good option. Good value for its price.
