Nice place to stay. Clean with nice staff. The only problem was a sound you could hear once every couple of hour with no known source for it.

Good Value

Posted Feb 13, 2018
Good value for near downtown, located in midtown, next door to Fisher Theater, Qline train is a block away. This place has seen better days, and could use some updates, but it’s clean and safe. Stayed here many times. Valet parking is a always a joke. Plan on at least 1/2 hour for them to retreave your car.

Elegant surprise.

Facility was very beautiful, however the room could use a simple makeover. This place has it! However a little TLC and it could be GREAT. NEW paint, carpet and caulking in bathroom. Beautiful view of downtown!

The first night both the heat and the hot water were not working. The front desk told us they were aware of the problem and working on both. They gave us warm blankets and a space heater since the heater wasn't on. Unfortunately, the hot water problem wasn't resolved the first night. The following few days we were there the water was warmer (was barely warm enough to shower in), but it didn't last long and my friend and I were having to rush our showers.

Eh...Staff was very friendly!.. That's about it

Posted Jan 23, 2018
Pros: Staff
The water stopped working in the hotel - given no accommodations in return. Bed was not very comfortable. BUT the staff was amazing and very nice! Loved the "old time" feel of the place and the restaurant was very nice. Seemed like a sketchy part of town for someone who doesn't know the area

Room comfort was disappointing.

We were without hot water for several hours. The restaurant food and service was terrible.

Old and tired

Posted Jan 22, 2018
Pros: The restaurant was decent.
Cons: Updates could be made.
This is a completely run-down hotel in a not-so-great part of town. Got there and my thermostat was broken, room was blasting 100 degree heat and had been all day, the handle of the door was so hot it couldn't be touched. Hotel staff came up and the solution was to open the window (in Detroit...) where it was about 10 degrees outside. So the option was freeze with the chance of someone coming in the window or suffocate because the thermostat was broken. In addition the bathroom tub dripped constantly and the carpet was filthy. Would never recommend this palce to someone.

Good price, nice staff (not very prompt), hotel needs to be remodeled, feels dirty in places. Room was clean, poor water pressure.

NO HOT WATER

Posted Jan 20, 2018
Pros: The Staff was very nice and professional
Cons: Get the problem fixed with the HOT WATER
The Hotel Staff is very nice. The hotel is outdated but it was clean. The big problem was no hot water.
