Room was too hot to sleep

Everything was pretty nice with the hotel. The only major issue was that we weren’t able to cool the room down without any opening windows and no cooling system working in the room. Other than that the hotel was nice and in a good location.

Pet friendly

Nice place. Very good staff. Purchased a pet dog during the weekend. Needed a pet friendly room for second night, staff was very accommodating.

Staff is great and helpful. Room are nice but smaller than I expected. View is amazing.

Two Looks of a Downtown Hotel

Booked a regular king room this time. Noticably different from the concierge level were the dated furnishings and room/bathroom fixtures. Furniture is generally worn looking with chips in finish. Room is comfortable. The cleaning staff do a good job. Complimentary morning coffee and close by self parking are also nice. Room has same great valley view. In terms of value, if you can use the concierge level perks of self serve breakfast and evening appertizers and the parking is not extra, the concierge rate is a decent value. The regular rooms value with the parking included, is not the best you can do in the city. There are locations on the west side delivering a more modern decor, comparable space, at the same pricing point. The Chateau Lacombes advantage is its' downtown location puts you close to many places and on main routes to move around the city. Location is in a decent walking area though there are quite a few transient types along the edge of the valley and in the park adjacent to hotel.

Disappointing Service

Pros: The view from our room was incredible, we had a river view and it was stunning, especially at night.
Cons: The service, as I said, it was the little things, the details that the staff missed.
The hotel itself was OK, the room was decent, the TV maybe a bit small but the most disappointing thing was the service. The hotel staff did not mention that our parking was covered and so we paid for it and were unable to get refunded. They took 2 hours and 2 requests to bring the bathrobes to the room which should have been there already. When we ordered food they made us come to the lobby to collect it rather than sending the delivery guy to our door.

It was a nice quiet stay. Friendly staff! Bathroom was a tad disappointing. Otherwise it was lovely

nice hotel downtown

Pros: location
Cons: outlets to plug in vehicles in lot across the street
Location: go to a hockey game :P
nice hotel but its unfortunate we had to park in overflow parking across the street due to the size of our vehicle. there was also no where to plug in the vehicle in -30 weather.
