Beautiful place and very convenient. Can walk to convention center and JW Marriat with out going out in the elements of the brutal cold weather.

Under Construction

Room was great. Hotel under construction was less than ideal. 25% off at neighboring hotel restaurant helped.

Paying for parking on top of the hotel fee is a bit much. Close to everything.

Construction and bad attitude

Pros: nothing
Cons: attitude, customer service, accomidation, parking
$xxx a night, and one of our rooms was incomplete and we had to change rooms. No restaurant, no bar. I understand construction is necessary, and have no issue with it at all as long as I know about it ahead of time. They show nothing on the website, nothing on the confirmation. Additionally, they do no validate parking, charging $xx a night. It is pretty poor on Marriott's part to charge full price for rooms, during construction and then charge for parking

OMG - IT CHANGED INTO A SUPER 8

Pros: THE WAY IT WAS BEFORE RENOVATIONS
Cons: GO BACK TO WHAT IT WAS
WE HAVE STAYED AT THIS HOTEL ONCE TO 3 TIMES A YEAR FOR 15 YEARS NOW. THIS TIME MY GOSH - UNDER CONSTRUCTION - NO WARNING ON WEB SITE! STAFF VERY UNCARING - LIED ABOUT THE "SHORT WALK" TO JW TO GET SOMETHING TO EAT - DID NOT TELL US YOU HAD TO WALK THRU COLD PARKING GARAGE. BIGGEST PROBLEM - THEY HAVE CUT THE ROOMS IN 1/2 - PRESUMABLY TO HAVE MORE ROOMS AVAIL - WELL THE FURNISHING AND CRAMPT-NESS MAKE THIS PLACE LIKE A SUPER 8 NOW - VERY UNCOMFORTABLE - STAY AWAY

Hotel Room description not accurate

Expedia stated the room was "High Floor View Room" and we were placed on Floor 6 out of 19 Floors, which as you could imagine is not a "high floor view" that looks anything like the pictures for that view as shown on the hotel's website. The view looked out onto another buildings roof and a bunch of air conditioners. Don't pay a higher rate for a view that you are not going to get from the Expedia booking. Also, there was extensive renovations going on in the hotel, which required transferring to two different elevators to get up to the room and no use of the front door of the hotel. This would have been nice to know ahead of time before booking.

Big Ten game hiyel

Asked for 2 queens. Not available when we arrived. Gave us roll away and said to use couch. Couch was big enough to sleep a 4 Year old. Under construction. Charged us $400 for a room that should have been $129. Had us over a barrel since it was close to the stadium.

Not what I payed for

I payed fir a king high view. I got two double beds on the 4 th floor. I’m sure it’s because I paid thru expedia. When I called they stated they were sold out. For the money I payed I’m very unhappy. Hotel staff was very nice.

Close To Lots Of Activities

Stayed for the Big 10 Championship. Hotel lot was full, had to park in a lot nearby and drag my bags across the street (walkway locked). After checking in at a temporary counter, we were directed to drag our bags down the hall, up an escalator and down another hallway to the guest elevators. Hotel is undergoing renovation and there's some minor inconveniences as a result. Great location though priced too high for a hotel under renovation.
