The place was amazing. It was reasonably priced and very comfortable. The Inn is so quaint. Even the snacks in the butler's pantry were tasty.

Quiet, Charming Inn

Posted Sep 12, 2017
Pros: Location, decor, spacious rooms, quiet
Cons: Loft room decor, cleanliness, and comfort were lacking compared to other rooms.
Location: In a quiet neighborhood, the inn is convenient to downtown and to Broad Ripple.
Our one night stay at Stone Soup Inn was pleasant. The inn itself is charming and in a quiet yet convenient location. Public areas are spacious and well appointed. Breakfast is included, and a complimentary snack area is centrally located. The staff is friendly and eager to please.

Just had one night, but would have loved to stay longer. Warm and cozy place, with a lot of charm.

Quiet & Solitude Near the Heart of Downtown

Posted Jun 19, 2017 on Hotels
A refreshing change from the cookie-cutter business hotels, I could only wish I'd had more time to enjoy the amenities. The Garden Studio room was pleasant (with a very comfortable bed). The only drawback was the range hood that juts out in the way of travel to the closet and bathroom; I caught myself a nice whack on the noggin the first day there! Breakfast during the week is "continental," which means packaged oatmeal, cereal, bread and muffins. Cold juice and hot coffee accompanies the breakfast. The B&B boasts a library, piano room, and a wealth of local information that I was unable to utilize (mine was a business trip). A quiet location that I would visit again.

Wonderful B and B

Posted Jun 11, 2017 on Hotels
Very nice place, decorated and restored beautifully. Breakfast was superb, very nice people helping. Wasn't quite prepared for the shared bathroom to be the only bathroom on the floor (used by three different rooms), this was the only downside.

Thank you so much for your generous compliments. Only 2 rooms share a bath at the inn. The other 8 all have private baths. Please call us directly and we can help you get the perfect fit for a room. We hope to see you again soon!

Old school charm and central location!

Posted Jun 3, 2017 on Hotels
Recently redone, centrally located, charming place with a friendly staff. Will stay here again or at one of their other properties. Only recommendation would be maybe a few more hangers in the closet and to take out the water restrictor in the shower head. ;) Bathroom was shared with one other room and I never crossed paths with the other guests so, don't let that deter you. It's an awesome place to stay!

Quaint, lovely old-time charm

Posted May 22, 2017
Pros: Charming old building.
Location: Within walking distance of Massachusettes Avenue where there are many restaurants and bars.
We stayed three nights during our first trip to Indianapolis. Charming old home. We stayed in third floor loft that was charming. Shaved $100 a night compared to downtown hotels. We'd stay again. Very hospitable.

Nice and peaceful

Nice clean room, bed was a little too soft but that is just a personal preference. Was a little disappointed in bread/pastry choices for breakfast - only raisin bread - on continental breakfast but overall very nice.

A new experience

Posted Apr 5, 2017 on Hotels
Our first time at a bed and breakfast, we were a little nervous, but the lady who greeted us was charming and helpful. A few very steep stairs led to our garden studio, a little tricky but we managed. The apartment had everything we could have asked for, and it was fun having breakfast with interesting people. Not luxury hotel style but we enjoyed the new experience.
