Too pricey for what you get

Pros: location
Cons: Have coffee available 24/7 -- all I had was 2 cups in my room per day --
Location: LOADS of things to do and all were fun!
Nice hotel in a great location -- but very pricey for what you get -- basically a bed, tv and bathroom.

Convenient and Friendly Staff

Pros: The rooms were comfortable and clean with many of the thoughtful and sustainable Marriott conveniences. It is centrally located and convenient.
Cons: There's food available at the lobby bar but there's not a separate restaurant.
Location: The Market nearby had excellent food and souvenirs. The Majestic Jazz club/steakhouse was within walking distance and many eateries and attractions.
Very convenient to the convention center and many very good restaurants and the trolly. Kansas City is such a friendly town!! Any time we stopped to determine where to go next there was a friendly face, offering to assist us and point us in the right direction. The hotel staff was helpful from facilitating early check in to helping us find night life and airport transport. I was in town for a conference but found the hospitality so outstanding I would recommend Kansas City as a destination spot for travel and business. Hoping I can return soon!!

We are very close to many local attractions and restaurants and our location is very convenient for our guests. You mentioned that we did not have a separate restaurant and we do. It is the Metropolitan KC restaurant. We also have Bar Central that offers food options. I am sorry that you were not aware of this information. A/C wasn't working, called maintenance and guys spent about 10 minutes working on it.... said that it was fixed but would take a while to cool. Went to sleep, woke up middle of the night because it was so hot. Left early, told front desk to be sure to fix it before putting anyone else in tha troom. Girl did not understand English that well, another front desk person overheard and offered us breakfast. Declined as we were sweaty and tired. Not a Marriott I would stay in again, in general.

Great Stay

Cons: Cleaning staff
Staff and amenities were top notch. Cleaning staff never cleaned up our old glasses and pizza boxes that were left by the garbage. Not a huge deal, just slightly annoyed.

Anniversary weekend away

I have stayed in this hotel on numerous occasions. It's always clean and the rooms are always comfortable. I am sure we will stay again. The only thing that would be nice is the option to have breakfast as part of the room rate.

Very thin bedroom walls.

The hotel looks nice and the rooms look pleasing at first glance however the bedroom walls are like paper and you can hear the guests in the next room with such clarity. I rang the reception at around 6am to complain about the people talking in the next room. The noise from the room next to me meant that I couldn't sleep. The people on reception were not clear in communicating the breakfast protocol and so I was left confused on my first visit to the hotel restaurant for the breakfast I had pre booked. The fact that you need to have a breakfast coupon in order to get breakfast should be made clear to the guest when they check in. On a plus the people who work in the restaurant are extremely helpful, accommodating and very positive. The restaurant people were the highlight of my stay at this hotel.
