Hotel-level motel

Pros: Proximity to Amtrak and city center, bed, breakfast, staff, wi-fi
Cons: The refrigerator was making an annoying buzzing sound, had to unplug it for the night to get some sleep.
Location: Interesting historical museum very close by, main street has a lot of interesting shops, great parks along the river. And yes, there are waterfalls.
This is probably the fanciest motel I've ever seen, felt more like a 3-star hotel, except that there was a refrigerator and a microwave in the room - something you won't find in a typical hotel. The price is consistent with a 3-star hotel too, but all lodging in this city is unusually expensive. The bed is huge, the room looks fancy and clean. Staff is very helpful, gave me a free map of the city and allowed me to leave my suitcase at the reception for a whole day after checkout. The free breakfast was superb, one of the best I've had in any hotel. Most importantly for me, it's within an easy walking distance from the Amtrak station, even with a suitcase, but it is also not far from the city center, which is very interesting in itself. Wi-fi works perfectly, which is a no small feat either.

Quiet accommodations.

The motel was very quiet. Room was small and very outdated. Did not compare with pictures of the motel on Internet. Available parking spaces limited. Exercise room was not available. Small room for breakfast.

Try to find something else.

Pros: The only thing likeable was the big screen TV.
Cons: The towels were worn out, the blankets for the bed were old and lumpy, the air conditioner was noisy, and the room in general was not comfortable.
Location: Location was good.
Could not wait for morning to come so we could get out of there.

Bugs??

Cons: MAybe bug lights???
Hundreds of mosquitos IN the room upon arrival at 3pm. Took awhile to kill them all. Cleaned up for a wedding (shower curtain broken) and when we returned that evening there were thousands of gnats and mosquitos hovering outside the room - haha! You see they have large shop-type fluorescent lights outside the four room porticos which were uncovered - an open invitation for bugs of all kinds. Fortunately we had a blanket in the car and we attempted to drive them away from the door so we could slip in. After killing the remaining ones inside the room we were able to sleep. On the positive side the staff was efficient and friendly and the motel is right by the main drag. Breakfast room was standard fare but clean.

Friendly staff. Breakfast is a plus, although not the best. Overall, it is a nice stay at its rate.

It is not at all handicap compatible. 3-steps to get to level 1. No elevator for the upper levels. No support bars in the shower/bathtub..

The room is nice and clean once you get into it. However there are a ton of mosquitos just hovering outside. You literally have to open the door, run it and close it behind you with the room lights off, and then kill the 3-5 mosquito's that got in. Hotels.com lists $5 as the pet fee. They charged $10 which is not a big deal. However another guest came up to complain about it and the front desk clerk just acted dumb about it trying to find it on their website (and ignoring what the confirmation email said).

A good location in great location

The hotel is in a good location to the county museums, front desk Logan was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with choices of bagels, toast, cereal, yogurt, juice, coffee and milk.
