Unexpected fees and rude staff

Posted Jun 26, 2017
The staff was rude to me and my girl friend and was getting frustrated about us asking for an extra blanket and then on top of that so many extra fees that you would think would be covered by the online lurchase from Expedia including parking which was $35 a night and then another $50 for the security deposit which I understand but wish Expedia would've just added it to the price i paid on their website and on top of that there's no perks to this hotel other then it's a nice hotel but there no free wifi, no free parking, no free breakfast, no free anything. I did NOT enjoy myself

Please accept our apologizes for the lack of friendliness and service that was provided by our staff during your stay. I can assure you that this will be addressed with them directly, so we can correct any possible service deficiencies. I can understand your frustrations with the cost for parking, but I can assure you the amount that we charge is competitive with the Downtown area. I believe Expedia does have an all inclusive package, which would include parking, breakfast, and WIFI. This may be something to consider if you consider booking with us in the future.

Excellant Hotel in Little Tokyo, LA

Hotel is beautiful. Great buffet breakfast but it is extra charge. A lovey roof top garden, We choose it because it is very close to Little Tokyo.

We didn't end up staying

Posted May 19, 2017
Pros: Unfortunately, nothing
Cons: Facilities and staff
Location: Unsafe area
We needed to change the dates with the hotel because they were charging us for three nights, but we were only staying for two. They were difficult to deal with and unpleasant. We still do not have a credit and didn't even stay. The location was TERRIBLE.

Please accept our apologizes for any inconvenience that you experienced with your reservation. I would recommend to contact Expedia if you were looking for a credit. Unfortunately, since the hotel did not take payment from you there is not anything the hotel can credit you.

Good hotel, w parking, breakfast ans wifi

Posted May 11, 2017 on Hotels
Hi. The room was nice and spacious, and I had a good stay in general. My room included breakfast for two, but only I went down for breakfast. As I was preparing some oatmeal and fruit to take up to my daughter, I was told by an employee (around 45 yo, Spanish speaker... Saúl, i think) who gave me grief about taking food to someone, despite my explaining that my daughter's breakfast was also included. Greatly appreciated the free parking and internet included in the room.

Great Downtown LA location.

Posted May 5, 2017
Pros: Great downtown location, great lobby area for meeting clients. Starbucks and nice decent restaurant located right in the lobby.
Cons: The $40 a day valet parking is a bit steep and there was no movie or on demand entertainment service in the rooms.
Location: Very convenient location. There are several restaurants and shops within walking distance including a small Japanese cultural area just a block away.
Had to attend a conference in downtown LA and originally booked at another hotel that was in about the same price range through Expedia. Unfortunately, the other Hotel was not as modern or as nice compared to the Hilton Double Tree so we ended up moving hotels the second night. The Double Tree is very nice and well run so if you've stayed at other Double Tree locations, you will feel right at home here. There are alot of other Hotels in the downtown LA area that market themselves as trendy, shabby chic or historic revivals so if you're a young hipster or young couple that don't mind the more unconventional type of accomodations and amneties, go for it! But if your like me who just wants a nice modern, clean and comfortable room with ample work space, this is a good choice. You can easily get to Hollywood, Korea town, J-town, Natural History museum and other downtown attractions within 15 to 20 minutes from the Hotel without having to deal with getting on and off the dreaded LA Highways.
