Great location. Walk to most major tourist areas

Pros: The breakfast buffet was very good.
Location: Great bar and restaurant scene. Several great distilleries nearby as is the Louisville Slugger Factory which has a great tour.
The hotel is in a great location within comfortable walking distance of a great restaurant and bar scene on 4th Street. You can also walk to many bourbon bars and great restaurants. The Mint Julep bourbon tours depart from the Galt Hotel about 5 blocks away. But the hotel rooms and entire 2nd floor was musty and smelled of smoke. Additionally, a fraternity from Indiana University checked into many of the hotel rooms. Their behavior was unruly and they yelled and screamed in the hall from 2am through 5:00 am. The management was completely incapable of handling the issue but did refund one nights stay Aside from smelling like a smoking room, the rooms and beds were clean and comfortable. Only negative is that the rollaway bed that was provided did not fit in the room so we couldn't use it.

Pros: comfort and cleanliness/shuttle/hot breakfast
Cons: remove the fee for parking??? I mean, really! You expect us to spend the night and not park?
Location: Google it!
Great room. Breakfast pretty okay. Only complaint was staff tried to impose a parking fee, which was waived when we complained. We have always stayed at this hotel when visiting Louisville, but this was our first experience there with expedia. This may be standard with expedia, but we did not like this.

Pleasant hotel

Friendly staff, nicely decorated lobby, tasty breakfast, standard hotel room-all up to my expectations of a Hampton - would stay again if ever in area. Liked being able to walk to areas of interest.

Nice, clean hotel - close to great restaurants

Pros: great value and close to downtown
Cons: only thing that could have been improved upon was the temperature of the exercise room. it was very hot in there.
Location: great restaurants nearby and the riverwalk was beautiful.
The hotel was clean, the staff was pleasant, breakfast included. Pool was clean although sign on the wall said no more than 5 people could swim at a time?? fortunately, we were the only ones in the pool so no big deal. lots of fun things to do in the area and all within walking distance. some parts of the walk were not the greatest place but that's just how it is. great price for hotel too - very pleased!

Center of downtown.

Good location but it needs to be remodeled. The rooms just felt old and that they hadn't been changed in many years.

Poor Service

My first room had air conditioning problems. My second room had the bathroom sink that was backed up. The next day it was still backed up. I told them about it and the next day in was backed up to a point where the sink overflowed. I had to mop up the entire floor. That night they NEVER made up the room. At 7pm I came to home to find this, reported it to the front desk and was promised that my room would be made up, it NEVER was.
