Disappointing

Posted Dec 6, 2017
Dinner is not served any day of the week, so if you're coming in late and expect to be tired and hungry - prepare to be disappointed. And for being considered a SPA, they only have recommendations for pizzas, hamburgers, and fast food. Bad bathrooms, clean enough, but poorly built. Rooms as well. The balcony you pay more for is shared. It was a disappointing stay, very overpriced. It will be my last time there.

Hello Mr. Kenton Schaefer... I believe that I will feel the same way if I was hungry and tired and my hotel does not serve dinner. Althought there are some very good restaurants near our area but none of them have delivery service. I will seriuously take you comments in consideration and Im sorry for not fullfilling your expectations. I wish I had the opportunity to meet you in person while you were at Casa Lucila. very truly yours.

Very nice room, friendly staff. Everything is very clean and the overall service is very good. The property is ocean front is the oldest area that is been renovated. Maybe the best part is breakfast.

Thank you for the excellent commentary. We appreciate all feedback. We too love our breakfast as well! Our personal favorite is the Huevos Rancheros. If you have not tried that yet, we hope you come back for another visit soon!

Beautiful small hotel

Posted Oct 28, 2017
This boutique hotel is right on the Malecon and right on the edge of old town. They have a nice restaurant where we had a very good breakfast. Because of road construction and resurfacing of the Malecon the restaurant was closed for dinner. The pool was a good temperature although its pretty small. Perfect for dipping and amazing sunsets.

Dear ST, We are thrilled you enjoyed your stay with us. Yes, we agree it is unfortunate that the construction work seems never ending, but we hope the finished product will be worth all that wait. Thanks again!

Nice hotel but not staffed or prepared for guests

Posted Oct 14, 2017
The hotel and the rooms are very nice. The people who worked there are also very nice. Unfortunately the hotel was not functioning normally which I believe is due to low season but it would have been nice to know before booking. The restaurant and bar closed at 3 pm daily which was one of the reasons we chose to stay here since I thought we would be able to have dinner there after work if we didn't feel like going out.

Dear Anonymous, We appreciate your honest feedback. We have on our website clearly listed that our restaurant will not be opened for dinner anymore. We are sorry you only chose us for the evening meals. We can certainly help you pick a more appropriate hotel next time you visit Mazatlan. Many thanks again for your review,

Nice Small Hotel

Posted Aug 23, 2017 on Orbitz
Casa Lucila is a nice quite hotel close to the historic Olas Altas area and the old downtown area. The area is being extensively renovated by the public works department of Mazatlan. (July of 2017) That made getting around in my personal car a bit tricky, since many roads were closed. However, it was easy to get a cab and they know how to get around the closures rapidly. There are also many restaurants, bares and turist sites in walking distance.

Dearest Jimmy, Thank you so much for the great review! We agree that the renovations in Centro are much needed but very inconvenient to get around by car at the moment. So happy to hear the taxis knew how to get around!

It is a wonderful hotel in old Mazatlan!

Posted Aug 19, 2017
This hotel has a great view of the Ocean and is walking distance to so many attractions in a Old Mazatlan. The owners are wonderful and the view from the endless pool is breathtaking. The place is charming and has an "old Mexico" feel to it while being very modern and it's appointments.

Perfect hotel in Mazatlan, boutique, only adults, great service. Highly recomended. Right now the city of Mazatlan is making improvements, so it is a little difficult to get to the hotel. And the hotel is a little empty and I tink there is ni dinner beeing serverd. But still is the best option for hotel in Mazatlan

Nice ocean front hotel near historic district

Posted Jul 31, 2017
We had the best time at Casa Lucila. The hotel is modern and charming and staff is very friendly. Our room was great; very spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. We also dined in the restaurant a few times and the food was very good. The only down side is that there is no room service after 7 pm which was a real bummer and the reason I didn't give this hotel 5 stars. Hotel is also walking distance to old Mazatlan ( historic center) but not the Golden Zone.

Dear M, Thank you for the great feedback! We unfortunately are closed for dinners during the low seasons. I appreciate the comments though as it is helpful for other potential guests to learn from your feedback regarding our restaurant closure for dinner.

Old Town Mazatlan Hotel

Posted Mar 24, 2017
Pros: small, clean, modern
Cons: when you are staying at a hotel this size its hard to provide 24/7 staff to dote on their guests. We didn't need it but that and a better restaurant
Location: on a hill just walks from a smaller private beach. part of old town where the best shops and restaurants are located in the city.
This is a very nice hotel in Mazatlan. This is a 4 star hotel in USA but a 5 star hotel for Mexico. Spotlessly clean, great location and polite staff.

This is a cute place. It's close to the square area, easy to walk there. That's what we were looking for. We pretty much had the place to our selves, which was nice. I wasn't impressed with the food at the hotel.
