First time to Memphis

Pros: The hotel,rooms and staff were very nice. the fact the hotel was close to a lot of things to do, made our trip!!
Cons: Rooms need better lighting and the ice machines on the floors should be in working order so you do not have to go downstairs to the lobby bar for ice.
Location: The Bass Pro Pyramid, The Mississippi River museum/tour and tram ride; Beale Street; Ducks at the Peabody Hotel; all of the great restaurants.
My daughter and I took our first trip to Memphis for the Bruno Mars concert at the FedEx Forum. Our stay at the Crown Plaza was wonderful. The restaurant food and staff were good. Having access to the shuttle allowed us to do a lot of site seeing of the exciting city of Memphis. We are planning another trip next year.

Bed Bugs!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!

My entire face and beck has broken out in hives. I have bed bug marks on my legs and feet. I am mortified that this has happened and will be demanding a refund!

A nice stay for the one night there. Close to the highway/expressway and not that far from Beale Street (we took an Uber there and walked back).

Fine for the price

We kept finding small things throughout our stay that made us question the cleanliness of the room - a used makeup brush on the floor, noticeable stains on the bedspreads, smudges and spots on every surface that could have been wiped more carefully. The hall was also loud. While the hotel isn't necessarily responsible for the volume of its guests, the walls are definitely very thin. Kind of what we'd expected for a fairly short and affordable stay, but you'll want to take a shower and sleep in your own bed when you leave

Phenomenal Front Desk Staff!

Pros: The staff and room
Cons: Stain on the pillowcase
I booked last minute and gave the incorrect date for my check in. The front desk was enormously helpful in adjusting my reservation through the 3rd party booking site and was so kind to me the whole time. Darrel at the front desk was such a sweetheart and helped to make sure I was well taken care of. The room was comfortable and I slept like a baby. Would definitely recommend!

Just older hotel and could use some TLC. The staff was very nice but the rooms seemed old. Not sure how much more you need to get this to work.

A/C was broken,

The A/C was broken, toilet ran, the closet doors were broken and there were holes and scratches on the wall where something use to hang. The front desk agent was rude, the maintenance guy could care less out the air conditioning issue and the night manAger was of no assistance. We can here for my daughters birthday and had to check out and leave at 11:30 pm and drive almost 3 hours home in the middle of the night since there were no other rooms to move us to. I'm still Waiting to get a refund. Don't stay here!

Not So Great

Pros: desk service was great,transportation to city sites was very helpful.
Cons: housekeeping-room was not serviced -two of five days
Location: not much
no local resturants to walk to. prices for items in lobby store are outrageous!

Dodgy hotel taxi cab service.

Pros: Free shuttle service was most welcome. The shuttle drivers were always obliging.
Cons: Very bad hotel taxi service. Didn't like the cabbie. Sleek talker but ripped us off more than once. I'll hold back from mentioning any names.
Location: Location is fine. Close to Beale Street etc.
Don't trust the hotel taxi cab system. They do not run on meters and you have little choice but to accept their price. We know they ripped us off a couple of times. Highly recommend the use of Uber instead of the hotel taxis.
