Nice hotel close to shopping area. Good restaurants in the area, too.

Great location, walkable to Beale street and other attractions. Room very comfortable. Housekeeping missed one day. Parking on-site is very expensive. Parked between 8pm and 11am, charged for 2 days, which seemed unfair.

Very nice older hotel. Very convenient location to Beale Street, the water, Main Street, dining and shops. Excellent staff. Great Valet parking.

Excellent staff, just some minor quirks.

The pros: The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and the location was within walking distance to many of the sight seeing activities. The roof deck had a great view and there was free computer use and printing available The cons: Housekeeping knocked around 9am, so if you are a late riser I would put a sign on the door. Our room had a bad leak and we needed to move to another room which was a little inconvenient. Water pressure was great, but it got cold quickly.

Thank you for your business! We appreciate your feedback. What Suite did you stay in and I will have Engineering check the water pressure.

Hotel staff was great and very nice. My wife and I had been on the road all day and asked about a resturant. Not only did the doorman recommend a very nice place to get a bit to eat. He walked us down to the place to make sure we found it okay. Very nice gentlemen!

Driving By and found a great hotel!

Excellent service, room and area. A little on high price range but was a last minutes decision. Will definitely book earlier next time and will stay longer.

Good- Ima checked us in and she was fabulous - professional, friendly and genuine southern hospitality! She Gave us directions and you could tell she loved her job and the area. The room was clean and well kept. Doors to the entry locked at 7 and needed a key to get in which seemed odd at first but the entire area closed down at 7pm which made me concerned with the safety of the area so locking the doors was probably good. Bad- the hotel needs some updates - there were some panels on the wall and under them were torn up wall- some of the wall paper was peeling away and the walls and ceiling were cracked. The bed was comfortable but it was right beside the door so people could see if you were in bed and someone went out- was just odd place for a bed! The ice maker spit out ice three times in 18 hours and there is no ice canister in your room except from the ice maker. The parking is a mess- no onsite parking so either park and pay blocks away (which is common for the city I know) or they will valet for you but not until 6pm ? Overall - I would recommend the facility if you are trying to get close to Beale st or you prefer to bring food and cook yourself to save some money but for what you get the price is really high.

This hotel is old, musty and creepy. I could not wait to get out of there. The place needs to be retired or gutted and remodeled from the inside out. I would not recommend this hotel for a women traveling alone. a single security is posted at the front door, but that's about it. The front desk is empty after hours. I find it surprising the Marriott would include this hotel in their brand.

Our suite had an interesting floor plan. I liked the little platform/loft bed area which was cozy for sleeping and watching TV. The closet next to the entrance to the room I never got used to. I never quite figured out where to dress. I didn't use the kitchen and eating table much but it was nice to have the microwave for snacks (popcorn), real mugs for coffee, a paring knife, and the ice maker to make some iced tea with.

Nice hotel in center of downtown

Pros: Location
Very comfortable. Quiet location downtown but near many points of interest, restaurants, etc. Will definitely consider staying there again if ever in Memphis.
