Great location.

Posted Sep 20, 2017
Pros: Everything
Cons: The restaurant service was slow, but the bar area was very efficient.
Location: Close to Beale Street, the top BBQ places and restaurants. The convention center is next door. Also the Pyramid which houses the Bass Pro Shop is clos
The hotel employees were friendly and hospitable. The club level served a complimentary breakfast and snacks that were excellent. I was very happy with our stay at this hotel.

Nice hotel in quieter location

Posted Aug 20, 2017
Pros: Location next to the interstate, clean good sized room, comfortable bed.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Quiet location away from Union and even further from Beale so a bit limited for bars etc. Memphis Tram not running at present replaced by trolley bus.
Helpful friendly staff, the only issue one surly breakfast waitress who did not bring our coffee and when reminded carried on clearing the next table and muttered something under her breath which luckily I did not hear. You have to pay daily fee for valet parking even if you don't take your car out. Hotel has good size indoor pool and small sun terrace though we did not use either during Elvis Week!

Great Location but Slow Staff

Posted Aug 17, 2017
Pros: The bed was so comfortable.
Cons: The staff needs to be quicker.
Location: Beale street and the basketball stadium.
This was located within a few minutes of Beale street and other areas of Memphis. The staff was on the slower side on getting me checked in and with the valet. It took about 10 minutes to check me in because he went in the back to make the keys etc. The valet staff even though I called to get my car ahead of time it took them about 10 minutes to come back with my keys even though the car was pulled up front.

Location: Easy walking distance to downtown and the river.
Clean, well-appointed rooms. Friendly and helpful staff from the front desk to the dining room to the valets and room service people. Good food and accommodating serving staff. Nice work-out and pool facility. Really appreciated the free laundry! I would stay here again and would recommend to friends,

Not good value

Posted Aug 9, 2017
Pros: Nothing really
Cons: Housekeeping
Location: We discovered that the trolley shuttle from the hotel to Beale St has been closed for repair - we wouldn't have reserved a room had we known that.
Our room was dusty (rather than dirty) and the carpet had not been vacuumed. We reported this to the front desk and were offered another room next to the freeway that smelled of cigarette smoke. So we decided to stay in the original room - and to be fair to the staff they did send a housekeeper to vacuum the carpet. Later on we noticed that there was no shampoo and body lotion in the bathroom. Not a big deal really but the hotel just does not seem to be customer focused. Valet parking is $28 plus tax (not under cover) So for the money the Sheraton charges you would do better staying further out and taking a cab or Uber if you want to visit Beale St

Hotel was dirty, breakfast awful and it was overall poor hygiene and unclean. It was disappointing to say the least.

Big convention hotel showing its age.

Posted Jul 18, 2017
This huge hotel is probably ideal for conventions next door, but it is out of the heart of downtown Memphis. The rooms are fine, if a little worn out. But there is nothing nearby. You can take a trolley to Beale Street and the Museum of Civil Rights (the trolley line on Main Street is shut down for some reason). But it just feels like it is on the deserted end of town. Plus, the only on site parking is valet at $26 a day.

A nice hotel that needs maintenance.

Posted Jul 13, 2017
Cons: This hotel needs a revamp and a new management direction.
The first room we were given had a broken front door lock. So they said we will change you into a room with a nice view....we then looked into a brick wall so they said sorry we will change you again, it was a nice room but the safe didn't work but they would fix it. Half an hour later the maintenance man can and said he would be back in another half hour to fix it. We went out and came back four hours later still not fixed finally at 10.30 pm they fixed it. I will not go on about all the other problems but will never stay again. I am a Starwoods member and will consider staying again at any Sheraton.
