Good location for walking Memphis

Posted Oct 11, 2017
Pros: Atmosphere, location, helpful concierge, grill
Cons: All of the above
Not very pet friendly. Not very prompt answering phones. Not helpful with a particular pet stay. Parking garage is terrible. Impossible, confusing. Bathroom very tiny for 2

Close to everything!

Posted Oct 11, 2017
This hotel is located in the heart of downtown. It is a 3 block walk to Beale Street, with great food and nightlife. The hotel is historic, and beautiful. Everyone comes to see the twice daily march of the ducks to and from the lobby, so it is the place to be!

Beautiful grand old hotel

Posted Oct 9, 2017
Pros: Rooms and facilities were immaculate. Staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful. Of course the ducks in the lobby are always fun!
Cons: Nothing I can think of ... overall a grand experience
Location: Located in downton Memphis across from AutoZone baseball park. Beale Street, Rendezvous BBQ and more all within walking distance.
Outstanding facilities in the style of an era past. The staff is amazing. There were many small gestures by the staff that made us feel like honored guests. Each person we encountered went out of their way to greet us, answer questions or help us have a relaxing stay. There is clearly a culture of excellence at this fine hotel.

My kids love seeing the ducks. The hotel is within walking distance to lots of restaurants. One of our favorite historic old school luxury hotels.

Estefa at the front desk was exceptional- welcoming, chatty, made eye contact, and efficient. The hotel room was beautiful and comfortable, so much so that I added another night. I spoke to staff person Courtney and he gave me local recommendations. Stunning hotel and a great stay.

Beautiful hotel.

Posted Oct 2, 2017
Location: The whole trip was centered on going to Rendezvous BBQ. It was amazing! Graceland was very nice too. The hotel was right near Beale Street
Very beautiful hotel. It was centrally located to all we wanted to see. Reading the history of this hotel, we were really looking forward to visiting...and were NOT disappointed! We absolutely loved the Duck march! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Memphis. This was a surprise trip for my husband's birthday and he really enjoyed it. Who wouldn't love all that Memphis BBQ??

Old Beauty Downtown

Posted Oct 2, 2017
Hotel lobby is beautiful. Check in had 2 bumps, as I had to wait for my husband to come in from self parking the car to complete our reservation and the first room we were assigned was not what we reserved and we had to go back down to registration and to have that corrected. Our room was clean, beautifully appointed and had nice bathroom amenities. The hotel corridor is a little noisy when guests allow their room doors to slam. The onsite Italian restaurant is excellent, and the Deli and Dessert offers free coffee, tea and hot chocolate each morning as well as yummy paid pastries, bagels and such. I would definitely stay here again.
