Disappointed

Posted Feb 20, 2018
I had always thought the Peabody was a premier place to stay and looked forward to the experience. Perhaps if i had $600 a night to spend i would have had a better bed and some space in the bathroom--and a clean carpet. I would never stay there again!

More than Ducks But the Ducks Are Fun

Posted Feb 19, 2018
This southern legend earns its reputation as the living room of the South. Blocks from the river, Beale Street, close to the National Civil Rights Museum and the best restaurants in Memphis, this charming, well - appointed property welcomes you to the city.

Excellent staff, but the hotel is a fading rose

Posted Feb 17, 2018
Cons: The food at lunch is not good. The rooms are clean but tired.
Good staff; lunch not good. Rooms are needing painting, mamenitiew few, bathrooms old fashioned.

A stay at The Peabody is just one of those wonderful, iconic, American experiences. The Peabody maintains a commitment to excellence. Don’t miss out when traveling to Memphis, make a reservation at The Peabody and live the dream, at least for a time.

Over the top service

Posted Jan 29, 2018
The valets and bellhops were courteous and very friendly. Their actions made the stay spectacular. The room was spacious but the best feature was the bed. Another highlight was the pastry chef took the time to describe several of the treats, he sounded like a proud parent as he described them. My wife and I really enjoyed our choice based on his descriptions. We left like a WWII general “We shall return”

Meh

Posted Jan 29, 2018
Not impressed. I would've had a more comfortable room at a chain hotel. Bed wasn't comfortable at all. Everything was clean and tidy though. Outlets in the bathroom weren't working. That's a great way to start the day when you've got 3 girls in the room. Almost 40 bucks in various fees. Just roll the price of parking and whatever a "room service fee" into the price instead of hiding it in the small print. If your interested in the atmosphere and ambiance, this is the place for you. If you're staying with kids for a sports function downtown, not the place for you.

Fab-u-lous Peabody

Posted Jan 15, 2018
Pros: Comfort and class
Cons: Just keep the unique style
Location: Good location only a short walk to the 'Hub' of Beal Street, lots of bars and restaurants, also side streets where you can find hidden gems
We loved all of the elegance of the Peabody, the class of it all and the ducks are amazing walking down the red carpet is a real treat, we took the offer of an upgrade which was very good. We had a lovely room very comfortable bed and very spacious. So if you are visiting Memphis the Peabody is a unique experience, lots of style, not one of those minimalist hotels a hotel that still has a soul.

Historic but flawed...

Posted Jan 14, 2018
Pros: The ducks and the history!
Cons: Bathrooms could be brighter and there could be shower support bars and places to hang towels or clothing
Location: Beale St, Graceland
Check in was traumatic and slow! I don’t know the reason for hiring all the front desk ppl who can barely speak English but it made it impossible to understand what they were saying most of the time! A simple issue with our booking which we thought was sorted turned out NOT and cause some serious drama the next day! The concierge went above and beyond to make it better so thankful for that!
