nice hotel but....

Pros: clean
Cons: get new working toilets and educate the staff
Location: not much nearby in the downtown miami area
nice hitel. clean but staff were not tbesbaroest. wrong roomkey, wrong check in name and the toilets plug at the slightest amount of matter in the bowl. unless you go like a rabbit you will be phoning the front desk...twice in two hours like us

Everything great, not a single issue

Pros: Location, room, bed, bathroom, desk, internet, front desk staff, dining room staff, excellent breakfast buffet
Cons: Can't think of a single thing.
Location: Wynwood is such a fun, cool, and vibrant area and you're just blocks away. Great places to eat, drink, stroll, peoplewatch, & great fun-artsy scenery.
I don't need much but got it all here. Nice room, great bed and bathroom, a desk, easy internet, pleasant and helpful front desk staff, gracious and attentive dining room staff. A hotel wins when it is a transparent part of your trip, allowing you to get done whatever you came there to do without adding any complications or annoyances, and it goes into bonus territory when the staff are pros. Thumbs up, I'll be back.

Not what I expected

So I stayed at the Hilton with my for 3 nights “ January 18 to January 21. When we got there, we were given keys to a room on the 8th floor. The bathroom in that room wasn’t clean and there was a dead spider on the wall. We called and someone brought us keys to another room on the 17th Floor. But while getting our stuffs to move, the cleaning woman came, with attitude asking us what was the problem and not even apologizing after we told her. She thought a dead spider on the wall and a bathroom barely clean was “not a big deal”. So we moved to the 17th floor, only to realize a few hours later that the heat in the room wasn’t working. We called again and got moved to the 5th floor. There, the toilet was making a weird noise all night ( like someone snoring, we checked and weren’t able to figure out the problem, but we were not going to call AGAIN and move AGAIN) also, when taking a shower, the water in the tub wasn’t draining properly, so we had to stand in the filthy water while taking our shower. I will never ever stay there again. As a matter of fact I was trying to book the same hotel I booked last year “ Hyatt regency” and I thought it was Hilton and booked Hilton instead.

Rough check in

No one to take luggage out of car ! After taking own bags out because one bellman in a 20 story billing it took him forever to get bags to room!

Close to cruise port

Pros: Front desk people were good. The rest of the staff was polite but quiet
Cons: Service could be faster for food.
Location: Cruise port
we took a shuttle from the airport. We picked this hotel because of the proximity to the cruise. Restaurant service was slow but food ok. Has a well stocked little convenience store indside for last minute travel items.

Centrally situated

The hotel is centrally situated and within 15 min walk to the beach. However my room heating system never worked despite the engineer coming twice. We got stuck in the elevator on the second day. Both concierges are not knowledgeable about their surroundings. If you are landing at fort laudedale prepare to pay minimum $90 taxi to hotel. For $209/night no room wifi or b/fast
