Nice location, expensive

Posted Dec 27, 2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Noise, quality of bed, being explicit ab out the parking cost.
We stayed about a week with my 3 kids in a suit. The suit had a separate room with a king size bed which was ok however sofa bed in living room had a very thin mattress even my 6 year old son would feel the strings and metal parts underneath. There was no locks on restroom and bathroom doors; so it is hard to preserve privacy with the children. Visited in December 2017, and there was some construction in the next building, also it is next to a very busy drawbridge so there was some noise as well. There was a $42/day valet charge which was not mentioned on Expedia page, or I might have missed it.

Luxury and elegance

Posted Dec 24, 2017
Convenient location in Brickell, downtown Miami, the W has everything to please the lucky guests: large luxury rooms and suites, one of the best rooftop pool in the country, superb spa and gym area, nice restaurant, a rooftop club called Whisper, as well as an efficient and friendly staff.

The lobby is a nightclub atmosphere. You cannot talk to anyone or hear anything, especially weird at 10:00am in the morning. The room was unclean. The pullout bed had no sheets or blankets despite calling ahead and letting them know I would be checking in late. The bed itself was just terrible. Found reminients of the previous guest all over the room. Staff was not equipped to answer questions. Very unprofessional and lacked sophistication.

Under construction but still nice

Pros: Clean and nice staff
Cons: Consistency. If you are offering or not offering later check-out times then it should apply to all
Location: The location is congested because its downtown. However that is expected. There are plenty of restaurants and night life in the area.
Nice hotel. The upgrades are going to be gorgeous once completed. The staff attentiveness was fantastic! Only thing is when we asked for a later check-out they told us they could not offer it to us. But when we went to the pool deck there was a couple next to us who said they were able to get a late check-out.

Spacious, chic room - Excellent value

Posted Oct 2, 2017 on Hotels
A large, chic room and an excellent value. We had a "Cool Corner Room" on the 14th floor, huge and well appointed with fantastic floor to ceiling windows and views in both the bedroom and bathroom (water views!). This was the most glamour, luxury and comfort for the money (off season/refundable) we've seen in a city hotel. Only small flaw was that the couch (we also had two club chairs in the sitting area) was a tad worn on one side. There weren't restaurants to my taste in the area, but I'd definitely stay here again.
