"A wonderful surprise of a Hotel"
This hotel was an extremely pleasant surprise! My wife and I booked a room for a Wedding down at the Turner Ballroom. We were late arriving to the hotel and only had about 30 minutes before needing to leave for the wedding. This great experience started with the valet. The young gentleman was pleasant and acted quickly as he could see we were in a rush. The price to valet for the night ($25) was not bad considering it would have cost more to park overnight in a structure somewhere. The great experience continued with the very nice front desk staff who very quickly checked us in and had us in our room within minutes. After the ceremony, we had some time to go back to the hotel. We left a bag in our car and the valet was nice and quick to go get it for us. When we returned later, the valet again went to go retrieve a second item my wife had left in the car. The entire time we were there, the staff and front desk personnel greeted us with smiles and hellos (I shouldn't be shocked by this, unfortunately it is becoming less and less).

Pocket Guide: Milwaukee Downtown Milwaukee Starwood LGBT Welcoming Hotels

Downtown Milwaukee’s blue-collar breweries used to define this fictional home of “Laverne and Shirley” and “Happy Days”. Now, the town is just as famous for the Santiago Calatrava-designed Milwaukee Art Museum, an architectural gem, and the Summerfest, an annual lakefront music festival. The Brewers baseball team plays at Miller Park, with sausage races drawing devoted fans.
