Great hotel! Great location

Last time I stayed at the Queen Elizabeth, it was just before it closed for badly needed renovations. The renovations are fabulous and Artisans on the main floor is a fantastic shop! I was in a deluxe king room and it was gorgeous. Well done Fairmont Queen Elizabeth

We love to walk around the town and this was a perfect location to the auto show at convention. Also close to china town, old Montréal and Catherine street. We enjoyed the fitness center, pool and jacuzzi to relax. The hotel is connected to the ground shopping area which was so nice.

Lovely hotel

Pros: Location, Cleanliness of room, Staff
Cons: Wifi and bottled water in the room should be free.
Location: Perfect downtown location! Close to Bell Centre and Shopping District and Old Montreal!
Convenient location; be sure to sign up for their president's club in advance to take advantage of free Wifi.

Great weekend in Montreal!

Pros: Freindly and attentive staff. Love the martket area and kids loved the pool. Dinig room has great views. Sunday brunch is a must.
Cons: Rooms are small but this is usual for Fairmont properties.
Location: Walking distance to museums, shopping and entertainment.

Wifi is $17.

It just seems wild that they don't include wifi when the place is relatively expensive. You'd do better at an air bnb for this price.

Hotel with problems

We arrived during a cold snap on the New years eve weekend. Hotel seemed very understaffed for such a busy time of year. Heat was out in the hotel lobby. Made the place feel like a cheap ski chalet rather than a 4 star hotel. Heat was out in our first room. Could not get appropriate help from night staff. Time after time they did not return our calls and Promises to get us another room went unfulfilled. They finally gave us a space heater for the night! Next day they gave us another room... no heat here either. after another move and a few more calls they finally gave us a suite they had available for the final two nights of our stay. While the staff on our second day (who were very polite and helpful and deserve a better rating than I can give the staff overall) did eventually help us with an upgrade to our room, our treatment on the night of our arrival was unacceptable. We have stayed at the Queen Elizabeth many times and were looking forward to seeing how the recent renovations had improved the hotel. Needless to say, we were not impressed.

Newly renovated, comfy and luxe.

I only stayed one night here, but was very pleased with the new renovation. The view was nice, the bed was really comfy, the temperature was easy to control, and the staff were lovely. I used the gym, which had brand new equipment and was well set up. The pool and sauna were great additions too.

Everything was perfect except for the fact that the lobby was really cold. It was a frigid day outside and inside we needed a scarf and jacket. Too bad.

The best staff of any hotel we’ve stayed at.

There are a couple of things that were noteworthy about this hotel. First of all, the staff were consistently excellent to deal with. Everybody was very motivated and focused on making the stay a memorable one. They gave us a quiet room with good view and even put a cake in our room for a special occasion. The other thing that was quite nice was the fact that the hotel is connected via underground access to Montreal central railway station and a number of restaurants and shops. A quick elevator ride could get you to the subway, a small grocery store, liquor store, and a Tim Hortons, shops and many other choices. The entire city seemed accessible even in very cold weather, and we saved a lot of money on taxis. Overall a very wonderful home away from home with great people and great location. Would stay there again for sure!
