Okay in every aspect

Posted Aug 12, 2017
Pros: Price reflects hotel quality.
Cons: The hotel could go beyond their client expectations abit
Location: Downtown: 10min walk, Chinatown/ Palais des Congres: 15 min walk, 7min walk from Saint-Laurent metro station + lots of restaurants nearby.
We stayed here for a convention taking place by the Palais des Congres. The price you pay reflects the quality of the hotel, so do not be expecting anything beyond ok. If you plan on simply finding a place to stay at for the night and wanting to stay in the downtown area, this place is ok!

More or less a guest house or motel

Posted Jul 26, 2017
Convenient location yes, BUT More of a motel or guest house not a hotel, Filthy surroundings, Breakfast is terrible, tasteless coffee, No fridge in guest rooms, no closets to hang clothes, Above all, someone tried to get into my room one night. Will never lodge here again

Thank you for staying with us. We are sorry you did not enjoy the complimentary breakfast, the reason why there is no eggs is because it is a continental breakfast and not an American breakfast. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. Best regards.

Found a bed bug & no parking

Posted Jul 13, 2017
Hotel offer no parking & finding it yourself is terrible & expensive in this area. Luckly after 6pm parking on road is free until 7am. I parked there as i did very late check in & early check out. Finding bed bug is worst & no one want to take home bed bug. Breakfast was ok.

Good for annual "festival visit"

Posted Jul 10, 2017
Pros: Location, price, staff; close to festivals and tourist activities.
Cons: stairwells, elevator a bit worn, but serviceable.
Location: Suggest parking in the basement of the library at Berri and Ontario E, about 15 min walk from the hotel. We never move the car while we're in town.
Been going to Montreal every July for 20 years; been staying at the econolodge; now the Hotel des Arts for the last several. Location is great for the music, circus and comedy festivals; 5 minute walk to the subway, 10 minute walk to China town; 20 minute walk to Old Montreal and the waterfront activities. Jazz and Comedy festivals 5 minute walk. The hotel was a bit worn; some renovations in the rooms and hallways have made it a bit nicer. We always stay here because of the price, size of the rooms (more US style than European) and the location to tourist activities.

Pros: Just the location. Being situated downtown is the reason of many people to come to this hotel.
Cons: Cleanliness and new furniture.
Not very nice. I was just happy to have a place to relax at, but it wasn''t a memorable stay. It smelled like old furniture, lack of fresh air and dust.
