They do charge $20 for a crib which I found to be surprising.

Convenient location

Pros: Hotel staff were friendly. Outdoor pool was a nice luxury even in November as it was heated. Fireplace in the main lobby was welcome in November.
Cons: Gym is quite small. Those who use the treadmill and who are tall are dangerously close to the ceiling.
Location: Great location. We were visiting our daughter who attends McGill so we were very close to the campus and her apartment. Shopping area nearby.
We were well located, close to the university campus and the shopping area. Rooms were small, but clean. The gym is quite small and offers only 3 pieces of equipment plus a weight machine. There is not much room to walk around the machines. The small outdoor heated pool is quite nice to relax in. Hotel staff are friendly. We didn't use the restauarant, however, that was conveniently located in the lobby.

Only thing is when you have a room close to the street, it would be noisy, but room is clean and everything else is good

Nice hotel desirable location

Cons: Pillow selections.
Location: Lots of restaurants and shops. Also convenient to go other places.
Very nice and cozy hotel. Courteous and helpful staff. Desirable location for tourists.

Lovely hotel

Pros: Everything
Cons: Be aware that there is traffic and construction noise. Not the hotels fault, but may be an issue.
Location: Central -easy walking to much that Montreal has to offer
Second stay, would not stay elsewhere. Both experiences have been excellent.

Details Matter

My husband and I recently stayed here for our 10th anniversary. It is a lovely hotel in a great location. Our room was very nice. There were a few things that were not so great. First, our arrival was delayed by a day because of Delta Airlines. The hotel would not give us a refund for the first night, since they had held our room until the next morning. We arrived at about 11 or 12, so we essentially paid $291 for 4 hours' use of the room, since check-in was at 4. I felt that the manager could have worked with us, since our delay was not our fault. The first night we were there, the fire alarm went off in our room. We had no idea what was going on. We could not reach anyone at the front desk for several minutes. We finally reached them, and they told us that it was a false alarm. It would have been nice if they had told us that proactively so we didn't panic. The second day we were there, our air conditioning stopped working, but maintenance came to fix it pretty quickly. We went to the restaurant a couple of times. Very nice atmosphere, okay food. However, it was extremely hot in the restaurant and the lobby, and both the restaurant and front desk staff told us there was nothing they could do about it. Lastly, and perhaps the worst part, is that there was constant construction under our window. It was very early and very loud every morning. The whole point of our vacation was to be able to sleep in and relax, but the only day we were able to do that was Saturday.

Would definitely stay again

Pros: Character, location, comfort.
Cons: Service in restaurant - breakfast service was appalling! Would not try it for dinner due to this.

Our room was lovely and well appointed. The louvered doors between the bedroom and bathroom were an interesting feature. Staff very service-oriented. Location right across the street from the Peel subway station was great, as was the fact it's an easy walk to much of downtown. The only downside was the dining room for breakfast and we were told that it's under separate management. The service was excruciatingly bad although the breakfast itself was fairly good (we only had the continental buffet). We spoke with other customers around us and they were also unhappy - an hour before their breakfast was delivered and then it was cold!. We complained to the restaurant staff and to the hotel staff and hope this is remedied. We do not like to have to leave the hotel for breakfast. The hotel deserves a much better level of food service for its clients.
