Affordable downtown Nashville hotel

Posted Jan 22, 2018
Clean, comfy rooms. Very helpful staff. Continental breakfast was plentiful and tasty (Though the wife was sad there was no bacon available). Be sure to have $50 extra handy to accommodate for their parking ($30 parking + random fees and taxes). Very affordable compared to the other hotel downtown. You are a short walk from the Bridgestone Arena, Ryman Auditorium, and all the downtown hustle and bustle on Broadway.

Unexpected

Posted Jan 17, 2018
Arrived to discover buildings adjacent to holiday inn were being torn down. Streets were blocked and the noise was terrible.

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the construction noise and blocked streets. It can be very frustrating, especially for guests who are not familiar with Nashville. Our city is growing very quickly.

Excellent Hotel close to downtown

Posted Jan 17, 2018
The staff was very helpful, the room was clean. The free shuttle service into the downtown area was amazing! The construction going on next door was a little loud, but not the hotels fault. The continental breakfast was delicious, bacon sausage, biscuits and gravy- way more than cold cereal and donuts. Would def stay here again.

Good location, great value

Posted Jan 17, 2018
I chose holiday inn express due to its value and its location to downtown and the gulch. The downtown bars are 4 blocks down hill and the shuttle bus can pick you up at 2 different locations. I spent 6 nights there and the staff was very accommodating. Dont spend the money staying right in the action. Save it and let the shuttle take you there. If you stay you late it's only a $ 5 cab ride up the hill

Weekend trip

Posted Jan 16, 2018
Yes there was snow but we stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The hotel did not clean our room at al during stay. Also they tried to charge me a resort fee of 12$ per day for the managers reception and the FREE shuttle. They did provide me a credit of that fee.

Dear Julie, We sincerely apologize for the lack of service. Many of our staff members could not get to work due to the poor road conditions. Thank you for your feedback regarding the $12 Facility Fee, as I am passing that on to my managers.

Hidden gem...

Posted Jan 4, 2018
Pros: Price, clean rooms, happy staff, excellent breakfast
Cons: TV channel selection.
Location: Not far from The Gulch, Country Music Hall of Fame, Ryman, Honky Tonks. If you are a persnickety beer drinker, Broadway Brewhouse is your place.
Been to Nashville several times; this was a last minute trip, and our first stay at Holiday Inn Express, which we chose due to availability and price. Seems we've found a hidden gem... The rooms were very clean. All staff members were genuinely happy to be at work, and assist guests. Derek at the front desk made check-in a breeze, and was great throughout our stay with hints/suggestions. Heating/air units are a bit noisy, but beds & pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast was very good, and well-serviced on a very busy weekend. The hotel resides at The Gulch end of Broadway, so a few blocks way from the Honky Tonk action (which we liked), but not a far walk from it at all. A shuttle service is available for folks who would rather ride. We'll be happy to stay here again before some of the others. Suggestions: 1. Bring your own bottled water as machines on several floors had no supply, and gift shop bottles were extremely expensive (as they are in most gift shops). ;-) 2. If you are a persnickety beer drinker, Broadway Brewhouse is your place!
