Close to everything

the hotel was lovely as well as the pool. was not aware of the construction when booking but it didnt really bother me. pool needs a phone for room service. close to everything. overall very nice stay

Disappointed by dirtyness

This was my first time staying in a doubletree. Based on reputation I expected a high end hotel. What I got what an average hotel which was below average in terms of cleanliness. There was stuff splattered on the door to the room. There was food particles all over, the room telephone smelled slightly of vomit. There was also some poor communication. Not instructions about how to get on wifi. No posted information about the hotel shuttle. The checkout time on the website was incorrect (it said 11 when really it was noon). Maybe it's just this location, but I won't be staying here again.

The staff very professional , helpful, and friendly. The hotel very clean including the room. Only one thing that disappointed me was they denied me a late check out. It was a Monday...... really ???

Comfortable and welcoming!

Pros: Cleanliness, welcoming staff, and speediness of checking in/out.
Location: This location is close to everything considered Winter Park. You have great food and bars, assortment as well, within walking distance.
My hotel stay was extremely last minute on Expedia, and this was my choice simply due to how close it was to my current location. I was greeted with warmth and crashing in my bed in under 5 minutes, That alone was enough to impress me! The room and bathroom was tidy and clean, and very comfortable. Checking out was just as easy, and I couldn't have asked for a better overall stay. This will be a go-to for when I am in the area from now on out. Thank you!

Downtown location

Hotel is in downtown , restaurants are 3min.drive . Hotel looks nice inside , parking garage near elevators and outside by the valet needs to be more neat many spider webs . The food at the restaurant inside hotel wasn't all that great. The Cafe wasn't opened both the times I went down for coffee. The room itself was good, clean , but their was no USB outlet and the room we got was next to the elevators and that was horrible. You could hear everything and everyone talking , screming, and running. 3am guys came back from the clubs I guess, but they were standing their laughing and just being loud , it was hard to get some sleep . I believe it was because of the location of my room I don't know if everyone else on the floor could hear all the noise as well. But overall it's was clean, downtown location was fine, 30min to parks and international dr.

the rooms that connect doors

Pros: the customer services. greeted me with cookies.
Cons: the pool need to open longer, since everyone has a different schedule
Location: was there one night so didn't have time to explore.
it was annoying the next door was knocking on the door.

When I checked out I was charged for drinks in the bar. I never went to the bar. I was told by the staff that they would check it out and email me in a half hour. Two hours later I had to return to the hotel and demand my credit in person. Fortunately I was in town. This was an inconvenience but it would not preclude me from staying again.

Great Stay For Concert

Pros: Comfortable bed, quiet room, wonderful view, cleanliness, freebies and upgrades.
We stayed at the Double Tree because we were attending a concert at Camping World Stadium and didn't want to have to drive home. We got a free room upgrade to a suite (adjoining rooms) which we didn't really use but appreciated. Then they came and told us we were the guest of the day and gave us two free drinks at the bar and two free breakfasts, which we totally took advantage of. The front desk staff was friendly but I would have appreciated knowing ahead of time that the shuttle to the concert was shuttle to shuttle, otherwise we probably would have prearranged a taxi. It took forever to get there. The wait staff at the bar was not very friendly. Breakfast staff was awesome. I would definitely stay here again when in downtown Orlando.
