Went to Chateau Laurier primarily to listen to a very talented pianist. Service was very friendly, no rushing. It was great to be able to walk around and explore the Parliament, and Byward market at our leisure.

Beautiful hotel with terrific staff, beautiful facilities (pool) and spectacular location. Would highly recommend this hotel for anyone!

Halal food option for Gold guest

Pros: Its history and service
Cons: Include Halal food options in Gold floor guests
Location: Street signs can be better especially at night...
There was no Halal food option for breakfast and for food offered from 5pm. During my stay, I noticed three other families that were Muslims. Even though the spread was good with sufficient meat options, unfortunately as Muslims, we were unable to consume them. As for the scramble eggs, they were separate from the bacon and sausage but were in the same warmer. I sincerely hope this will be taken care of during my next Remembrance Day visit in 2018, as we love staying in your hotel. Thank you. Ravichander Era

Pros: Everything.
Location: Right next to Parliament, and on the canal. Great location.
From check in to check out, the Chateau Laurier was phenomenal. We were sorry to leave and look forward to returning. The staff were exceptionally friendly, as well. I only have glowing things to say.

Historic Chateau Laurier

Pros: Everything!
Beautiful, historic hotel right in the heart of Ottawa. Within walking distance to so many attractions such as the Peace Tower, House of Parliament, Byward Market and much more. So much history preserved in this hotel. Fabulous guest service; polite, efficient, accommodating and professional. The high tea was a beautiful experience. Directly across the street from the War Memorial and Remembrance Day services. Even the underground parking was accessible with in-out service but because the location is so walkable, you don't need to use your car unless you want to access some of the other museums. Will return next year for Remembrance Day services.

We stayed in the Gold floor Awesome room, very large Great breakfast Staff were above average Would definitely stay here again Loved it.

Pros: the staff -- made us feel that nothing could be too much to ask
Location: central -- close to thee National Gallery (a must see) and the Parliament Buildings
stayed one night -- had some friends over for a small reception -- hotel staff were most attentive and helpful. Room was recently renovated and was extremely comfortable.

Pros: close to all touristy places and food
Cons: let people know how to operate the room temp.
we had a problem with the thermostat....it was fixed the next day..
