Close to restaurants and hiking

Cons: Updating of the carpets throughout the hotel. Freshen up the exterior walls with a new coat of paint.
Location: dining & hiking
We found this hotel to be a tad run down in areas. Overall it's a good hotel for the price but I don't think I will go back because I wasn't crazy about the area itself. unless you are wanting to eat, we didn't find much else to do.

Hidden Secret

Location: Shops and restaurants within walking distance
Great hotel; small, quaint, courteous staff. Perfect location; walking distance to everything.

Good overnight for our family

We found our two rooms to be comfortable, clean, and well maintained. The Wifi worked without a hitch. The breakfast had a variety of foods to choose from. The only negative experience was that a few visitors talked in loud tones outside our room at a late hour.

Small issues

They are doing construction, so the reception area was temporary. The room had 3 chairs, but when you have the one at the desk, you can't really get by it to the vanity and bathroom. Beds were nice. Air/fan was a little noisy, but overall the place was pretty quiet. Unfortunately, we did get woken up at 7 am when the garbage trucks came by.

In the year of downtown

Just an over night before we go home, It's an older hotel but clean and nice. They are remodelling the lobby, A little louder as it's downtown. You can walk everywhere,

No hand soap provided since day1 untill we left! Facial tissues were never refilled! The omelet maker in the morning is sometimes grouchy — need to be a little bit more friendly & willing to help people to show where the breakfast food & stuff are. The off hours desk/customer service need to have people skill. It seems like they dont want to be asked or bothered.

Unpleasantly surprised

Pros: It’s a beautiful older, but well kept hotel.
Cons: Not sure who spoiled our expectations ☹️
Location: The location is the best to go down town and enjoy the night life in Palm Springs
When we arrived at the Best Western, we were told that since we had only booked (and prepaid in advance) a short time (1 week) previous to our arrival that we had to take what they had left, which was a handicap room. We were very disappointed because when we booked the room there were three different room choices available in our price range. Not sure if Expedia or Best Western is the culprit that kind of spoiled our stay.

Unfortunately when we receive reservations from third parties such as Expedia or Hotels.com we have to honor what room type is was booked for. We never change the room type that is booked so it sounds like the room was booked for a handicap room and at check-in all of our standard rooms were already reserved. I hope that you will consider staying with us again so that we can have another chance to provide you with a superior experience. Please contact us direct next time to assure you get the correct room type you would like.

Very nice quaint downtown hotel

Pros: Location, charm and character. The lush gardens and pool area.
Cons: Would be nice to have a better bar food menu. The one offered is quick microwave snacks.
Location: Downtown location, close to shopping and restaurants. View of mountains is nice. Enjoyed the Market on Thursday night.
Stayed here for 4 nights while visiting Palm Springs. Excellent hotel with great charm, location is right downtown and close to many restaurants and shops. Enjoyed the Thursday night market as well. Room was very clean and spacious. Gardens and pool area very nice and lush. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The only negative thing would be the construction going on near entrance to hotel, but really didn’t bother us. The breakfast was also decent.

The new owners are not very hospitable

Used to be one of our favorate hotels in Laguna. The new owners are not very nice or friendly. we requested a particular room and was not a problem when we booked online but neither was available upon check in. The second evening I decided to walk to the store for snacks. While I was gone my wife locked herself out of the room. She asked for a key to get back in but they refused. They "assumed" I locked her out and they called the police. After a humiliating experience and the Laguna police yanking my arm out of socket looking for weapons(still in pain) they found no wrong doing of course, and left. With me in pain and icing my shoulder for the evening. They now charge for parking and the breakfast is not nearly as good as when it was best western.

Unfortunately I believe you left this review for the wrong Best Western. This is the Best Western Plus Las Brisas is Palm Springs, CA not Laguna. I do apologize for such a bad experience at their propery however.
