Room was over sized looking over the pool. Pool was fantastic. Nice short walk to downtown.

Convenient location to downtown Palm Springs.

Posted Nov 13, 2017
Pros: The location.
Cons: Customer service; cleanliness of breakfast room/area.
Location: It's a few blocks from the core of downtown Palm Springs where the restaurants and shops are.
The room was quite a distance from the nearest elevator, which we were warned about, but it was really far. Not down the hall, but more like down the block. Some sort of repairs were going on in the room immediately above, which included loud drilling noises that vibrated the ceiling starting before 8:30 am. I was on a work call when it started and the person on the other end of the call assumed I was next to a construction site. The drilling continued unabated for a considerable period of time. (I was in the room trying to work until after 11 am.) At check out I mentioned the issue and how hard it was to get work done and received nothing but excuses from the woman at the desk. I was hoping for at least "I'm sorry for the inconvenience", but did not receive even that. While it's a perfectly fine hotel (especially if you have cause to be at the Convention Center because it is Convention Center adjacent), I would not stay again. There are many choices in downtown Palm Springs where the customer service is better.

Resort feel in the heart of Palm Springs

Posted Nov 6, 2017
Pros: Location and dog friendly
Cons: The street lighting is non existent on this section of street. Even the hotel sign is not lit which makes walking at night from town less desirable.
Location: Attached to Convention Center, very close to casino and downtown strip.
It may be a few blocks further away from the main strip, but it is still walking distance to everything you want to do downtown and we can all use a few extra steps of exercise. The extra steps are more than made up for by the beautiful resort style pool area and friendly staff.

All was good. I had a comfortable room and the bar had good food. The breakfast buffet was decent, if not overly exciting.

Unhelpful staff, lacks professionalism

Posted Oct 31, 2017
Stayed one Saturday night, false fire alarm went off 3 different times. The most inconvenient time it went off was at 2:30 am. We called front desk and was told it was a wiring issue. I forgot my jackets hung up in the closet so I called and asked for assistance. An agent who picked up was unable to help at all. Hotel lacks professionalism.

Red carpet treatment in 100 degrees!

Posted Oct 15, 2017
Pros: The staff were remarkable. It was obvious they took great pride in all they do - and this made my experience exceptional.
Cons: The bed itself was a little old. That’s for sure.
Location: Museums, shopping & restaurants. Fantastic location.
Truly lovely hotel with exceptional staff. What a first impression! I was picked up at the airport by Mark, who in a few minutes, gave me a wonderful historical tour of Palm Springs. He was thoughtful and friendly and set the tone for my stay. The front desk was just as superb and checked me in quickly. Having come from the desert where there was no air conditioning or much shade, I was so grateful to arrive in the splendid lobby of the Renaissance. The large pool area was well set up with lots of lounge chairs and several fire pits as well. The hotel was a quick and safe walk to restaurants and shopping - or you could take the shuttle. The rooms were lovely and clean. It was easy to relax. Mark once again, took me to the airport and shared more wonderful info about Palm Springs. My stay at the Renaissance was exceptional, while everything was perfectly fine, it was the staff, from the drivers, to the concierge, to the cleaners that took my experience to the TOP. Excellent customer service is a beautiful thing and this hotel has it in spades! Thank you!

Beautiful

Posted Sep 30, 2017
Pros: Pretty much everything.
Cons: Bar service at the pool.
Location: Downtown was close, so shops and restaurants right there. Movie theater across the street.
Everyone was so friendly. Got upgraded to a room overlooking the pool. Grounds were beautiful. Pool area was very pretty also. Close to downtown.

Nice Hotel and close to all.

Pros: Location . Pool
Cons: Maid Service. Left at 9:00am to go to Breakfast and walk around town. Came back at 2;pm and room still had not been service, Had to call for Service.
Location: Go to Shanghai Reds. First time there. The food is incredible and the chefs were amazing to watch. Sit in the bar to watch them cook. So fun. .
Had a great time visiting Palm Springs and staying at the Renaissance Hotel. The hotel is very nice with a large pool. Pool is relaxing, but careful on the Drinks by the pool. Pretty pricey. 2 Mai Tais will set you back $26.00- $30 with a tip- But hey- were on vacation. It is with in walking distance to down town PS strip and the casino. Get a Balcony- It's a must. maid service could be better, I would stay here again. Love Palm Springs and the night life. Go to Shanghia Reds and the Tonga Hut. Both great places with live music.

Great for a holiday weekend!

Posted Sep 21, 2017
Went to enjoy the holiday weekend, had a wonderful stay! We had a Mountain View Jr Suite, very comfortable room, however bathroom was just ok, expected it to match more of the room aesthetic...
