Nice Hotel

Posted Aug 18, 2017
The front desk people are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfy. The breakfast is much better than I Expected it to be. The eggs, bacon and french toast were exceptional. The cleaning people are friendly and do a great job of keeping the hotel looking spotless. Overall this experience could not have been any better.

location is great

Posted Aug 11, 2017
Pros: location
Cons: advertisements should be more accurate
Location: near the ball parks, the river, bars, science center and Warhol art center as well as freeways
the location was great for a baseball game. the manager was excellent, other staff okay. The room pictured in ads was not the room--or I am guessing any room at that hotel. It was close, but a lot smaller. The bedspread had stains and was dirty.

Wonderful Stay!! We're coming back!

Posted Aug 1, 2017
Pros: Staff. They really made our stay nice.
Cons: I honestly could not think of a single thing. Not one.
Location: Came for a convention and took a couple extra days to explore Pittsburg. Staff was great in helping us maximize our time and see as much as possible.
This was a great find! Rooms were far more spacious and comfortable than standard hotel rooms. Nice layout without having the bathroom at the entrance. It felt like you were coming into a spacious room and not a small hallway. With the comfortable couch, work space and lots of other details it created a great space to spend a week. Hotel provided fresh, fluffy, white clean towels daily. Shuttle was the most convenient that I have ever experienced with a hotel. Drivers were all incredibly nice with great attitudes to the point where I would almost forget that they were at work. They acted like the really enjoyed being there and talking with guests, driving them to places they needed to go, whenever they wanted, within their shuttle radius. We used the shuttle to return from the David Lawrence Convention Center and then half an hour later, they were happy to drive us to dinner. They added so much to make this vacation fun. The also went beyond what they needed to do by passing on information like a road being closed due to a pickle festival. REALLY knew the best places to eat but if you needed something quick, they also offered freshly made sandwiches and delicious pastries. Their own FREE breakfast was plentiful, lots of choices, fresh and, again, delicious. I am obviously very glad we found this gem. Whenever we are going to go the David Lawrence Convention Center, we will always be staying here. Thanks!

Hotel was overbooked and did not save my room

Posted Jul 13, 2017
I called the hotel in the early evening to inform them that my flight was delayed and I would be arriving in the middle of the night. In spite of this, when I arrived I was informed that there were no rooms available because they had oversold them. Eventually they determined they could give me a room that had not been occupied due to a maintenance issue that did not affect safety or prevent sleeping in it, which was fine with me since it was the middle of the night and all I needed was a bed. The room was clean but had lots of worn surfaces. In the morning, there was only one person on the desk and after standing in line for at least 10 minutes without acknowledgement, I just asked the clerk to email my receipt which he agreed to do. However I never received it and had to contact the company.

Hotel close to PNC Park

Posted Jul 10, 2017
Cons: Food selection and new mattress.
While the hotel was very convenient to PNC Park, we we disappointed with the bed...not very comfortable, new mattress is needed. Bathroom is adequate, but did not like the setup. The breakfast provided was not very good, items that were supposed to be hot were not and the overall food selection was not that good. We had stayed at Springhill Marriott on the way, and their breakfast offering was so much better...and the food was hot.

Nice hotel. Great location.

Posted Jul 9, 2017
Pros: Great location, nice rooms.
Cons: There were 3 of us and only one towel in the bathroom when we arrived...? Never stayed anywhere that didn't provide at least 2 towels.
Location: Right on the waterfront, walking distance to Heinz Field and PNC park. Close to The Warhol, close to the Benedum Center, 15 minute drive to CM & Pitt.
In town for 2 days, trying to see as much as possible...the Hyatt was a great place to stay. Close to the waterfront, close to downtown, close to the major roadways to access everything in town.

Awesome hotel on the North Shore of Pittsburgh

Posted Jul 8, 2017
Pros: convenience
Cons: nothing
Location: We were within walking distance to many restaurants (Burgatory, Tilted Kilt, Bar Louie) Heinz Field, PNC Park, and even the Carnegie Science Center.
We had a great room with a great view of the Allegheny River, the Point, the Incline--everything Pittsburgh. Our room was unexpectedly a suite with a sectional couch and refrigerator. The breakfast had numerous choices for everyone in my party. I was a little worried because I couldn't find any picture of the property's pool online--it was pretty basic and we didn't end up swimming in it. However, I would definitely book this hotel again.
