Perfect Riverfront Hotel

Pros: Location, beautiful suite.
Location: Great location in downtown Portland literally on a riverfront promenade / marina
We love Kimpton properties, and Riverfront did not disappoint. It might be slightly older than our favorites (Triton in SF and Marlowe in Boston), but beautiful spot in a great location. It's only too bad that many of the surrounding restaurants have closed. That said, there is no shortage of excellent eateries close by. We'll be back!

Some issues

Bathtub plumbing bizarre and difficult to figure out and operate. TV system inadequate-- remote barely worked and no way to change input so esternal devices could play?

Beach hotel (river beach, that is)

Pros: good service; very comfortable room; very quiet
Location: Walking distance from downtown; many restaurants nearby; on riverside; nice park
Excellent service even during the eclipse-driven crowds; Gave us very good directions and information about local activities; let us stay extra time after the checkout time

The people are the nicest

From the moment we arrived the staff did everything to make us feel welcome. We had our dog with us. He is a recent rescue and is a little bit afraid of men at first- but the valet took extra time to be kind to him, give him treats and to help him feel comfortable too. The location is wonderful. A morning stroll to the local coffee shop along the waterfront nets a delicious cup of Stumptown coffee and the room was very quiet. Just what the doctor ordered.

Wonderful, classy hotel! Great location--

Pros: The location was ideal. Staff went out of their way to make sure your stay was pleasant.
A very exquisite hotel with gorgeous rooms, wonderful bath products, sexy bathrobes and a great location! The staff were also very pleasant. The location, near the river, is very tranquil. Nice to sit and watch the geese nearby and to stroll around the area.

For the price and my expectation based on the reviews I expected a high end hotel. I did not get that. Room was aged and needed to be updated

Wonderful hotel right on the River!!!

All the hotel staff were very attentive. Restaurant is very good. Love looking over the boat arena. Love being close to the pedestrian walkway. Lots of good restaurants nearby.

Great hotel in a fantastic location

The hotel is fantastic. The service couldn't be better and it is at a fantastic location. The restaurants are fair. One drawback that is totally not the hotel's fault however are the homeless people. They are everywhere in this city (not just by this hotel), especially the parks! I've never seen anything like it in this country.
