Family reunion

We had a wonderful stay. The location was perfect for walking everywhere. The valet was fast, efficient and friendly. The staff was wonderful and the place was clean and updated. We will stay again.

Nice hotel but housekeeping needs improvement

Pros: It was convenient to downtown. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful and always love the beds.
Cons: Better housekeeping and more detail.
Location: Theatre close by, nice breakfast shop across the street, shopping, Ruth's Chris close by.
Love the beds and slept well. However, when I woke up early the first morning and went for my coffee in the room, the coffee supplies were not replenished. (no regular coffee, no cups at all, etc) I had to go down to the lobby to get coffee. Thankfully the guy at the front desk (possibly a manager because his attire was different) offered to bring all the coffee and accessories to my room, and he did. He was very helpful. The next morning, after the room had been cleaned, I went for my coffee and the housekeeping had put some of the coffee supplies there, but the sugar was not replenished. It appears as though housekeeping is only partially doing their work. The commode seat was not clean either.

Overall very nice hotel and location. But housekeeping needs improvement. Didnt get new glasses everyday. And coffee cups. Didnt vacuum.

Well-located hotel in downtown Portland Oregon

Pros: Location. Good rooms. Good facilities (gym, bar). Friendly staff.
Cons: That staff, though friendly (when he/she spoke English) needs to communicate with each other to solve problems,
Location: In downtown Portland 2 blocks from Pioneer Square, near transportation (including to/from airport), good restaurants, talking distance to some attract
Only downside was poor communication between staff members. First, needed to change rooms because of dripping sound in a wall; first request seems to have vanished, and second request was required, Second, maid service skipped twice, and that too took two attempts; also person apparently supervising service spoke no English.

Comfortable Centre City Accommodation

Pros: Great small bar with full restaurant menu.
Location: Restaurants, coffee shops, retail stores and nearby transit. No car necessary.
Tireless staff effort to find a screwed up Expedia reservation set the tone. Solid polite, friendly services in every facility.

Great overall experience

As my title explains, we had a great experience! The only thing that was a bit surprising was the the wifi wasn’t free, and it wasn’t a very good or consistent connection. Our texts to our friends in another room didn’t always go through until we left the hotel. Otherwise, staff was super helpful and friendly!

Hotel was nice. Staff was friendly. I would stay here again. It was walking distance to many things.

Nice Downtown Hotel

Pros: Great location. We had drinks and dinner in the hotel and we had great service. Check in was very fast as well.
Cons: Moldy smell that was strong enough to trigger allergies. In the restaurant, the wings had to be sent back because they were frozen.
Location: I did not get out of the hotel except to go to a meeting.
I stayed at the Marriott City Center with a group of people on businses for just one night. The hotel was located right downtown and I was up on the 17th floor, so I could look out across other buildings. I liked the check in process and thought it was very efficient. I went up to my room and really liked the decor and the view. My only issue was with a moldy smell. Unfortunately at 2:30a I woke up with an allergy attack from the mold that really was unsettling. It has been a long time since I was in a room that had enough of that moldy smell to trigger allergies. You just cannot be in a closed up room with that smell for very long.

Courteous staff, clean, and comfortable

Cons: The only negative for this hotel / room was WiFi was not free and was very poor in speed. Some streaming content was available on the TV but the WiFi
The staff at this hotel were amazing. A pleasant interaction with every person I talked to. My card was locked for fraud and check-in took some extra time and the staff could not have been more patient and accommodating.
