Older hotel in a great location

Posted Sep 17, 2017
Pros: Location, nice clean pool, friendly staff
Cons: Not a new, high class hotel. a nice, fun Mexican hotel.
Location: 3 blocks north of the malecon.
A nice, older Mexican hotel. Staff was great, room was clean, beds comfortable. and breakfast was great.

Nice view, quite but it was under during construction so it could have been a little better.

Authentic Experience, great hotel

Posted Jun 14, 2017 on Hotels
The hotel is a classic Mexican-style hotel, do not expect it to be a Motel 6 and you can enjoy yourself. There is no carpet, minimal toiletries, and each floor has a large jug of clean water to share that they can bring back to their room with provided plastic pitchers. Both sides of the hotel have splendid views, of either the street or the ocean. All balconies are private now and the air conditioning worked marvelously. Due to the nature of the hotel, there are not a lot of American visitors during the summer, but if you are in Mexico to experience Mexico, then there is no better location than this hotel. The only two downsides to the hotel are the included breakfast: A small plate of fruit and some toast, and the Wifi. The hotel wifi does not work well if at all, and the nature of the concrete building limits what service you can get from your mobile wifi also. This did not affect my experience at all, but if you are depending on a reliable connection, you will have to go elsewhere.

Small, sweet and comfortable

I only recommend locking the door when you're in the room, staff came in 3 times wanting to clean the room but they didn't even knock on the door, and the do not disturb sign was out!!! Apart from that, everything's good.

Great no frills hotel on the beach

On the beach, near the malecon in Puerto Vallarta. The staff is friendly and helpful. Many speak only Spanish and gives me a chance to use my limited knowledge of the language.

El Pescoador

The hotel is in a very desirable location. 3 maybe 4 blocks from the start of the melanin. Plenty of restaurants and shopping within 3 blocks of the hotel. Nice beach area. Pool was a little small however, the restaurant was big. Did not eat there due to the abundance of restaurants within 3 blocks. Grocery store is two blocks away.
