It’s all about the rooftop

Posted Jan 19, 2018
This is a fine, small hotel. The rooms are good sized. The towels and linens are OK. This is not a 5-star joint. It’s kind of 3 and half? The hike up the hill is not that difficult. Some of the reviews made it sound ridiculous. I walked it a few times a day and I’m pushing 60. (I was going to school in the town.) I left so early each morning that I cannot comment on the breakfast. The neighborhood was relatively quiet. What makes this hotel stand out is the rooftop area. The view of the city and the bay and the sunsets is fantastico. There are nice chairs, tables and benches—and good towels. That said, the hot tub is not a hot tub. It’s a cold tub. Is this place a little overpriced? Yes, but it was nice.

A beautiful heaven niched on top of a steep hill

Posted Jan 15, 2018
Beautiful hotel, nicely kept, will be getting upgraded soon, so the experience will be even better. Nice fresh fruits served for breakfast. Staff very attentive to all the needs. But the crown goes to the view from the rooftop patio. Gorgeous day and night! Very safe and calm neighbourhood.

Pleasantly Surprised, A Magical Gem

Posted Jan 8, 2018
My husband and I were pleasantly surprised with Luna Liquida. The staff made our stay very welcoming and friendly, especially Mercedes and Aracely who took the time to show us around the property. We were intrigued by all the unique pieces of Art that beautifully decorated the hotel. Each room, hallway, living room had its own unique charm. The top patio overlooking the Pueblo was spectacular! We spent most of our time there relaxing and enjoying the view. Our only disappointment with the pool was that there was no temperature difference between the pool and the jacuzzi, the jacuzzi was never hot and the buttons to adjust the temperature did not seem to work. We did enjoy having breakfast every morning, it was very relaxing and the staff were very attentive towards us. We also enjoyed knowing the hotel is part of an eco friendly organization, thank you to Fher Olvera for putting into practice how a business can be runned keeping the Environment in mind. <3. Overall, we had an amazing time!

Lovely place.

Posted Jan 4, 2018
Pros: Lovely spot far from the maddening crowd. Wonderful view and very pleasant staff
Cons: Realign the security cameras and place barriers along the balconies. Warn the guests to keep valuables in the safe and lock all windows and doors when
Location: Great location and wonderful restaurants nearby
Hotel is small but very attractive. The staff very nice and speak English. Best view in town. Quiet. Bit of a hike to get there if walking. Unfortunately for us we had an intruder come through the balcony doors and stole our valuables which really ruined our vacation. In spite of this I would recommend this as the nicest place we were in in PV byalong shot. Just keep your valuables in the safe provided and keep windows and balcony doors closed! We certainly don’t blame the hotel for our misfortune

Nice hotel in downtown location.

Posted Dec 9, 2017
Pros: View, staff, atmosphere
Cons: An entry should be made through the garage it is difficult to enter and carrying suitcases is achallenge.
There are many steps within the hotel and walking to the hotel as it is up a hill is impossible for anyone with a mobility issue and an issue for almost anyone!

Thank you for sharing your opinion with future travelers. We certainly are in a location up to the hills, but taxis are coming normal, to go & up. We are sure that it will not be a problem for everybody.

Nice hotel and close to the malecon and downtown

Posted Dec 4, 2017
Since the hotel is straight up on a hill no one who is not good foot or cardiac should stay there. Need to use taxis some or all the time depending on health. It is even difficult getting in and out of the front door. I would suggest that an option to the existing front door would be the use of the garage as an entry could be used as there as well. There are stairs to every room, not a good hotel for anyone with mobilty issues.

Hilltop gem

Posted Nov 23, 2017
Pros: The hotel is run by a great group of people which is what makes it such a nice place to stay. Yes there is quiet a hill to climb but its worth it.
Cons: Nothing worth mentioning ....
Location: Just the whole ambiance both inside and area outside is just lovely. The walk down the hill the church bells ringing blue skies the view Breathtaking
Stayed for a week earlier this month and was so happy to have found such a tranquil place away from the main drag. The rooftop is just heaven ! The continental breakfast jdelicious .

Wonderful small hotel

Posted Oct 29, 2017
Pros: Helpful, pleasant staff Location in quiet neighborhood Beautifully decorated
Location: Right in old puerto Vallarta. Old winding streets to explore. Directly up hill from church
This is a small hotel on a steep hill. My room had two sets of window.....one over looking city and ocean; the other windows overlooked city and hills. Charming. Great continental breakfast. Roof top pool. A wonderful hotel Don't let steep hills concern you......plenty of cheap taxis available
